This study investigates the role of foreign direct investment (FDI) in facilitating transition toward low carbon societies Latin America from 1990 to 2022. Additionally, we introduce Low Carbon Transition Curve hypothesis as a framework for understanding relationship between income and green economies selected countries. Through application cointegration regression analysis, preceded by examination unit roots cointegration, uncover notable findings. Our results indicate that impact FDI on consumption renewable energy exhibits heterogeneity across American countries, evidenced lack statistical significance renewable/fossil fuel mix energy. However, it is important note has positive significant effect promotion consumption. Furthermore, our analysis confirms income-low all models, suggesting per capita plays pivotal driving factor countries' economies. In light these findings, recommended countries utilize reduce their dependency fossil fuels offering incentives FDI, which can contribute significantly process.
