Integrating electric vehicles (EVs) into the coupled power distribution network (PDN) and transportation (TN) presents substantial challenges. This paper explores three key areas in EV integration: charging/discharging scheduling, charging navigation, station planning. First, discusses features importance of integrated traffic–power networks. Then, it examines factors influencing strategy, such as user behavior, preferences, battery performance. Next, study establishes an discharging model, with particular emphasis on complexities introduced by pricing mechanisms integration approaches. Furthermore, navigation model role real-time traffic information are discussed. Additionally, highlights multi-type stations impact uncertainty The concludes identifying significant challenges potential opportunities for integration. Future research should focus enhancing modeling, refining behavior models, developing incentive mechanisms, advancing autonomous driving automated technologies. Such efforts will be essential achieving a sustainable efficient ecosystem.
