With the growing global environmental concerns and push for carbon neutrality, rural multi-regional integrated energy systems (IESs) face challenges related to low efficiency, high emissions, transition cleaner sources. This paper proposes a cooperative game-based low-carbon economic dispatch strategy IESs, integrating trading mechanisms. A novel IESs architecture is developed exploit synergy between photovoltaic (PV) biomass systems. The proposed model described anaerobic fermentation heat loads, incorporates variable-temperature fermentation, employs Nash bargaining solved via Alternating Direction Method of Multipliers (ADMM) optimize cooperation while preserving stakeholder privacy. Simulation results show that reduces total operating costs by 16.9% emissions 7.5%, validating its effectiveness in enhancing efficiency sustainability

In the context of electricity and carbon markets, with in-depth research virtual power plants to realize mutual assistance electric energy in different regions within same distribution network, a scheduling strategy plant alliance based on dynamic pricing using Master–Slave game is proposed. Firstly, an interactive framework designed which operator formulates prices, each user entity operation plan according prices. Secondly, information gap decision theory adopted handle uncertainties source–load side. Based interaction, economic optimal dispatching model for established. Finally, particle swarm optimization algorithm nested CPLEX solver used solve model, rationality effectiveness proposed are demonstrated through case analysis. The simulation results show that, after considering interaction electricity–carbon pricing, daily cost was reduced by 47.7%, emissions decreased 24.6%, comprehensive benefits increased 77.2%.

The shift towards decentralized energy systems demands innovative strategies to manage renewable integration, optimize resource allocation, and ensure grid stability. This review investigates the application of game theory robust predictive control as essential tools for peer-to-peer management. Game facilitates strategic decision-making cooperation among prosumers, distributors, consumers, enabling efficient trading dynamic distribution. Robust complements this by addressing uncertainties in generation demand, ensuring system stability through adaptive real-time optimization. By examining recent advancements, study highlights key methodologies, challenges, emerging technologies such blockchain, artificial intelligence, digital twins, which enhance these approaches. also explores their alignment with global sustainability objectives, emphasizing role promoting affordable clean energy, reducing emissions, fostering resilient urban infrastructures. A systematic methodology was employed, analyzing 153 selected articles published last five years, filtered from an initial dataset over 200 results retrieved ScienceDirect IEEE Xplore. Practical insights future directions are provided guide implementation methodologies networks.
