Forecast uncertainties pose a considerable challenge to the success of model predictive control (MPC) in buildings. Numerous possibilities for considering forecast MPCs are available, but an in-depth comparison is lacking. This paper compares two main approaches consider uncertainties: robust and stochastic MPC. They benchmarked against deterministic MPC with perfect forecast. Digitalization and sector coupling enable companies to turn into flexumers. By using the flexibility of their multi-energy system (MES), they reduce costs carbon emissions while balancing electricity grid. However, identify necessary investments in energy conversion storage technologies leverage demand response (DR) potentials, need assess value flexibility. Therefore, this study quantifies a production company's MES by optimizing synthesis, design, operation decarbonizing considering self-consumption optimization, peak shaving, integrated DR based on hourly prices emission factors (CEFs). The detailed case beverage company northern Germany considers vehicle-to-X electrical industrial forklifts, power-to-heat multiple temperatures, wind turbines, photovoltaic systems, systems (thermal, electrical, hydrogen).
