Abstract The oil painting landscape sketching course is one of the required courses for teaching art majors, which has unique aesthetic value and artistic charm in teaching. Based on multimedia big data, this paper designs mode constructs an evaluation system effect random forest method used to calculate importance assessment indexes rank them, then a model constructed based one-dimensional convolutional neural network assess application proposed model. results experiment show that scores dimensions artwork cognition (P<0.05), externalization practice affective experience (P<0.05) students experimental class taught environment are higher than those control traditional mode. It was also found abstract or figurative artworks did not have significant effect, background music narration data showed greater positive sketching. This lays foundation development good thinking among education provides reference path effective education.
