Subsea manifold system is a complex that occupies pivotal role in contemporary ocean engineering and has significant impact on the safety of marine resource exploitation. Reliability technology plays ensuring safe operation subsea system. To perform comprehensive analysis reliability systems, combination method FMECA-FFTA (Failure Modes, Effects Criticality Analysis - Fuzzy Fault Tree Analysis) introduced this study. Firstly, FMECA used to accomplish qualitative considering multifactorial failure modes, which included analyzing potential causes failure, evaluating degree hazard through risk matrix diagram. Then, FFTA applied build fault tree model divide into "system-subsystem-component" determine minimal cut sets for quantitative reliability. In addition, fuzzy set theory incorporated improve accuracy handling uncertainty analysis. Finally, conducted by using The modes are clearly identified, including high-risk such as external leakage, medium-high-risk fail close/lock demand, medium-risk leakage critical location, plugged, effective measures should be taken focus preventive protection regular testing high risk, medium-high medium modes.

Understanding and mitigating fire risks in healthcare settings are crucial for ensuring the safety of individuals, especially during current pandemic, which has increased use oxygen-supply equipment potentially raised hazards. This case study, conducted two university hospitals Semnan, Iran, examined risk factors facilities using a developed assessment method. A total 28 wards 74 compartments were assessed. Data collection included topographical structure analysis, building usage evaluation, process documentation review. The FRAME method, validated previous studies, was used to calculate levels buildings, contents, occupants, activities. revealed varying across different hospitals. Hospital exhibited higher compared B, with several classified as "High" or "Very High" risk. Factors contributing design, occupancy density, presence flammable materials. Occupants certain wards, particularly those high rates limited evacuation routes, identified being at Activities such storage handling materials also found contribute elevated specific areas. study emphasizes importance implementing targeted measures, regarding oxygen-supplying equipment, high-density ventilators, escape mitigate effectively settings. comprehensive can guide best practices management

A case study evaluating wiring harness assembly process demonstrated model's applicability. sensitivity was performed verify effect variation weights assigned decision-makers (DMs). Findings mode (FM) ranking FM4 > FM9 FM17 FM2>FM8>FM12 FM16 FM19 FM11 FM3>FM18 FM15 FM13 FM10 FM14 FM7 FM1 FM5 FM6. These outcomes suggest that “stripping length less than specified” top priority among 19 FMs evaluated. Sensitivity tests DMs’ on FMs. comparison FMEA HFL-TOPSIS demonstrates greater capacity discriminate levels priority, as it identifies total compared 9 other approaches. Practical implications adoption proposed can drive substantial improvements management practices across industries, provided organization has decision-making team experienced FMEA. Therefore, this approach promotes continuous improvement operations ensures mitigation actions effectively address critical Originality/value is first accounts DMs' hesitation defining through linguistic expressions. The maritime transport of liquefied gases poses significant safety and environmental hazards such as fire, explosion, toxic gas emissions, air pollution. main objective this study was to systematically identify, analyze, prioritise the potential risks associated with operation tankers using a hybrid methodological framework. This framework integrates Fuzzy Delphi, DEMATEL, Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) techniques provide comprehensive risk assessment. Initially, 20 key factors were identified through expert consensus Delphi method. causal relationships between these then assessed DEMATEL understand their interdependencies. Based on results, accident probabilities further analyzed FTA modelling. results show that fires, explosions, large leaks are most serious threats. Equipment failures—often caused by corrosion operational errors crew members—are also contributors. In contrast, cyber-related found be lower criticality. highlights need for improved training, rigorous inspection mechanisms, implementation robust preventive controls. It suggests prioritisation may reevaluated autonomous ship technologies become more widespread. By mapping interrelated structure hazards, research contributes integrated strategic approach management in LNG/LPG shipping industry.

Abstract The innovation process typically follows a predefined sequence of phases: idea generation, screening, evaluation/selection, development, and launch/diffusion. This exhibits dynamic cyclic structure. At each stage, potential ideas may undergo elimination or redefinition based on considerations such as their problem–solution fit product–market fit. Consequently, the evaluation phase can be conducted continuously, involving varying numbers ideas. To address challenges associated with this process, systematic approach for selecting best new project is essential. study introduces IF-ABAC method, which extends alternative-by-alternative comparison-based (ABAC) method to intuitionistic fuzzy (IF) environment. proposed represents first combination sets ABAC within group decision-making employed during phase, best–worst determining criteria weights. describes how adeptly manages changes in set alternatives after decision addressing dynamics inherent environments. further includes an analysis innovative business real case from Turkey, demonstrating feasibility efficiency approach. A comprehensive sensitivity illustrate stability utility method. Finally, results are compared three other IF-based multi-criteria methods literature. concludes by asserting that provides practical select environment uncertainty complexity.
