This paper introduces a novel digital twin solution for unlocking the elasto-plastic fatigue crack growth within an S550 steel under negative load ratios. The transforms solely strain data from strain-interfaced welded plate joint specimen to load–displacement curve compute cyclic J-integral values using η approach, eliminating need and displacement measurements. accurate computation of ΔJ effectively extends relationship derived standard fracture specimens. extended accurately predicts life specimens separate step-up step-down variable amplitude loading regimes.
