Abstract Low‐carbon sustainable development is considered an essential strategy for achieving economic growth and environmental protection, requiring a fundamental transformation of the industrial structure, including developing clean technologies, promoting energy efficiency, adopting production consumption patterns. Simultaneously, evolving digital economy acknowledged as driver in optimizing structure. Therefore, can reshape structure lead to low‐carbon development? The digital economy is pushing more efficient and greener production innovation processes, as well quickening the mobility of factors, which would have a critical impact on improving industrial green efficiency.
