Abstract This study analyzes non-hydroelectric renewable capacity across 27 European countries from 2000 to 2020, using advanced econometric techniques like the Dumitrescu and Hurlin panel Granger non-causality method, Panel Autoregressive Distributed Lag Quantile estimations. investigation reveals complex relationships extending beyond immediate variables. These relationships, rooted in pairwise causalities broader interactions, underpin observed phenomena. Causality tests show that achieving is a long-term endeavor, emphasizing persistent policy approaches for effective energy transition. Three key variables emerge as potent drivers: maintaining an environment conducive economic freedom, fostering financial development, driving patents’ research development. play pivotal role expansion. Additionally, findings of this empirical spotlight political orientations. Leftist governments have lagged prioritizing transition, prompting questions about neglecting environmental concerns necessitating comprehensive reform. In essence, offers novel insights into deployment. By unraveling policies, identifying variables, provides nuanced perspective line with sustainable transition urgency. As global ecological imperatives heighten, our work guides informed decisions greener future.

Abstract Countries all over the world have been seeking ways and methods so that their electrical matrices can stand out using clean renewable energy sources. In this context, article presents a review with analysis of sector legislation on photovoltaic solar in Brazil. This study was grounded four steps: (i) sample definition; (ii) theoretical basis; (iii) network analysis; (iv) content two stages research. Initially, systematic literature carried order to map major most cited works. The second stage consisted reading performing critical government documents reports from Brazil few bibliometric resources for such purpose. Its results reveal has grown expanded different applications, since floating plants subscription are becoming increasingly attractive. Furthermore, possible replacement generation thermoelectric investigated once there positive aspects yet be found thereof. As samples obtained, we works would allow source increase by 1% matrix stop emitting 10,738,478 tons into atmosphere, progressive decrease use tariff flags (which affect directly final consumer) reduction operating costs also achieved.

ABSTRACT Climate change, driven by greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, causes extreme weather events, impacting ecosystems, biodiversity, population health, and the economy. Predicting GHG emissions is crucial for mitigating these impacts planning sustainable policies. This research proposes a novel machine learning model forecasting. Our model, Meta-Learning Applied to Multivariate Single-Step Fusion Model, utilizes historical from Brazil over past 60 years predict CO2 CH4 emissions. Additionally, employs unique combination of two techniques in time series forecasting: (i) each substance individually extracted trained based on specific decision task, then integrated into same feature space; (ii) allows learn prediction tasks, leading better generalization. was compared with state-of-the-art models using dataset. The results show that our approach reduces mean absolute percentage error 49.06% 95% confidence Transformer-based TST demonstrating its superior performance low estimated 0.01 kg CO2eq. Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) are a crucial innovation for achieving sustainable transportation and reducing greenhouse gas emissions, which major contributors to global warming climate change. While previous studies have explored attitudes towards BEV technology acceptance, few examined the interplay of external factors such as government measures adoption barriers in promoting mobility. This study addresses this gap by investigating roles policies, usage obstacles diffusion stimulating purchase intentions, while applying Innovative Diffusion Theory (IDT). Data from 3632 respondents Thailand were analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM) examine causal relationships between factors. The results indicate that policies supporting users enhance society, leading increased intentions. Furthermore, effective help mitigate usage, further encouraging adoption. also reveals intentions vary across age groups, highlighting need targeted approaches transportation. These findings contribute development evidence-based policy recommendations accelerate adoption, Thailand’s Carbon Neutrality goals broader objectives. By elucidating complex dynamics research provides valuable insights policymakers stakeholders working more environmentally friendly sector.
