ABSTRACT Forecasting green energy is crucial in diminishing dependence on fossil fuels and fostering sustainable development. However, it encounters notable challenges, such as variable demand, restricted data availability, the integration of various datasets, necessity for precise long‐term projections. This study thoughtfully examines these issues using temporal fusion transformer (TFT) model to project production across five Latin American nations (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico) Canada, drawing from 1965 2023. The performance proposed TFT more authentic compared with gated recurrent unit (GRU), long short‐term memory (LSTM), deep autoregression (DeepAR), meta graph‐based convolutional network (MegaCRN). has a mean square error (MSE) 0.0003, root (RMSE) 0.0173, absolute (MAE) 0.0112 percentage (MAPE) 1.76%. From preceding results, clear that can identify dynamic patterns will contribute towards achieving development goals by end 2040.

The transition to renewable energy is a critical pathway for achieving low-carbon development and addressing global climate change problems. Therefore, we expand the conventional province-level balance table urban level, providing refined assessment tool evaluating (RET). This study investigates impact of policy uncertainty (CPU) on RET explores underlying mechanisms. findings reveal that CPU significantly inhibits RET, with this effect being particularly pronounced in non-capital inland cities. mechanisms through which hinders include exacerbating capital labor misallocation suppressing industrial structure upgrading. Furthermore, moderation model indicates high-intensity government supervision low public environmental awareness exacerbate negative RET. Our provide governments adopting forward-looking policies mitigate adverse effects transition.

This study examines Finland’s increasing investment in solar energy as part of its broader strategy to transition renewable sources. Despite northern location and limited sunlight during winter months, Finland has effectively harnessed power, especially long summer days. We conducted a PESTLE analysis, highlighting political commitment climate agreements, economic benefits energy, public support for clean technological advancements, regulatory support, environmental benefits. In addition, we applied the autoregressive distributed lag model (ARDL) impact GDP per capita, urbanization (URB), foreign direct investments (FDI), share primary consumption from (SOL) on CO2 emissions 1990–2022. The long-term findings show that SOL, URB, FDI negatively emissions, while positively impacts emissions. Solar deployment reflects effectiveness cleaner alternative fossil fuels. Urbanization also shows negative due better infrastructure more efficient use urban areas. suggests are oriented towards sustainable technologies. Industrial activity associated with expansion may indicate positive effect Although growth typically resulted increased strategic development can greatly reduce this effect. Policy initiatives should concentrate promoting green enhancing planning focus sustainability.

The global increase in renewable energy share and grid-resilience risks posed by climate change make distributed resources (DERs) a key priority for sustainable energy. While previous studies have explored the required changes achieving source (RES)-based system, they paid little attention to different transition strategies based on grid paradigms their adaptability local contexts. This study fills this research gap showing pathways toward DER- RES-based systems through literature review of DERs, focusing complementarity elements electricity systems. We found that pathway must be associated with following three elements: (1) expansion empowerment prosumers; (2) design arrangement market its mechanism favor DER-based system; (3) adjustment tasks functions existing stakeholders. These findings novel contribution arguments about incumbents' sustainability transitions, particularly adoption new business models adaptation institutions.
