Purpose Over energy consumption is one of the causes global warming and climate change. To deal with this issue, using energy-efficient appliances strongly encouraged cultivating consumer loyalty toward crucial for long-term sustainability. This study investigates effects multiple dimensions perceived value on satisfaction three outcomes (i.e. willingness to pay a premium, repurchase intention word-of-mouth intention), considering moderating role product category. Design/methodology/approach Quota sampling based age gender snowball methods were applied recruit 423 participants study. A combination partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM), importance-performance map analysis (IPMA) necessary condition (NCA) was employed examine proposed model. Findings Functional, price, emotional environmental values positively impact satisfaction, enhancing loyalty. The category moderates satisfaction. Abstract Energy consumption has been identified as the key contributor to carbon dioxide emissions and depletion of natural resources. Promoting purchase energy-efficient appliances is crucial for environmental sustainability. While numerous studies have explored consumer decisions regarding appliances, literature remains broad fragmented. Anchoring in Theory–Context–Characteristics–Methods (TCCM) framework, this systematic review aims synthesize available research offer a complete overview current state into purchases appliances. Conducting thorough analysis 142 empirical studies, study uncovers that Theory Planned Behavior most frequently used adopted quantitative methods focused on emerging Asian countries (e.g., China, Pakistan, Malaysia). Purpose This study aims to examine the critical role of energy-saving appliances (ESAs) in promoting sustainability, particularly within context sustainable development goals (SDGs) (SDG) 7 (affordable and clean energy). Design/methodology/approach Utilizing in-depth text analysis 149 respondents from a developing nation, research identifies key consumer perceptions barriers adoption ESAs. Findings The findings reveal that education government incentives are essential for overcoming these barriers. Additionally, highlights importance tailored strategies address diverse needs urban rural populations. By fostering greater awareness accessibility ESAs, this underscores potential significant contributions sustainability goals. Despite environmental benefits, such as reduced energy consumption lower greenhouse gas emissions, challenges persist, including high initial costs, limited inadequate infrastructure. Research limitations/implications advocates multi-stakeholder approach, involving bodies, industry players civil society, create an environment conducive widespread energy-efficient technologies. Ultimately, informs policy interventions engagement can facilitate transition towards more practices, thereby contributing greener future.
