Abstract A set of ionic cryogels based on the biocompatible zwitterionic polyelectrolyte N ‐(3‐sulfopropyl)‐ ‐(methacryloxyethyl)‐ , ‐dimethylammonium betaine and a second comonomer different nature (from class acrylates, acetates or sulfonic acids) is successfully synthesized. The variation used allows material to be obtained with controlled pore sizes hierarchical porosity as proved by SEM, optical microscopy 2 adsorption–desorption experiments. compositions good adhesive properties electrode, well effective ion exchange during an electrochemical reaction inside cryogels, which shown reversible copper recharge processes after doping cryogel ions, are determined. Aqueous batteries, renowned for their high capacity, safety, and low cost, have emerged as promising candidates next-generation, sustainable energy storage. However, large-scale application is hindered by challenges, such dendrite formation side reactions at the anode. Hydrogel electrolytes, which integrate advantages of liquid solid phases, exhibit superior ionic conductivity interfacial compatibility, giving them potential to suppress evolution. This Perspective first briefly introduces fundamentals underlying unique features hydrogels. It then identifies key role water polymer networks in inhibiting formation, highlighting regulation activity, ion transport, electrode kinetics. Abstract Zinc air battery (ZAB) provides a low‐cost and high‐energy density power source, particularly in wearable portable devices. Despite the extensive research on cathode catalysts, their practical application is hindered by low zinc utilization rate severe corrosion passivation liquid‐based alkaline electrolytes. Herein, double‐layer gel (DLKgel) developed leveraging distinct kosmotropic properties of ZnCl 2 ZnSO 4 . Through phase separation induced differentiation (instead membrane decoupled systems), this DLKgel electrolyte serves dual purpose shielding from irreversible reaction products protecting Zn anode passivation. Neutral ZABs with demonstrate high 89.3% stable cycling over 800 h under current 0.1 mA cm −2 The integration DLKgel‐based into flexible GPS tracking device demonstrated, highlighting potential for broad adoption logistics applications.
