Microspheres with well-defined hollow structures have been attracting interest due to their unique morphology and fascinating properties. Herein, a strategy for size control of polymer@silica microspheres is proposed. Multilayer core-shell polymer microspheres, containing substantial carboxyl groups inside, evolve into 304 nm structure after alkali treatment, which are used construct by coating the inorganic layer using layer-by-layer (LBL) sol-gel methods, respectively. The shell thickness can be adjusted from 15 33 self-assembled layers in LBL method 63 dosage precursor method. Compared method, prepared via uniform dense shell, thus ensuring complete spherical calcination, even if only nm. Moreover, exhibit improved compression resistance good opacity, remaining intact at 16,000 psi providing corresponding transmittance lower than 35.1%. This work highlights regulation different methods provides useful insights design composites controllable structures.

Hierarchical porous zeolite particles featuring multiscale pore architectures have gained significant attention due to their enhanced mass transfer properties and superior adsorption capabilities. This study reports the first successful synthesis of hierarchical zeolites with integrated micropores, mesopores, macropores using a template-assisted spray process, addressing limitations conventional in adsorbing large organic molecules such as toluene. By employing poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) (about 350 nm size) template, we achieved precise control over macropore formation, providing new level flexibility tailoring architectures. The effect PMMA/zeolite ratio on resulting macroporous structures toluene performance was systematically investigated. results revealed that exhibited significantly rate compared samples synthesized without PMMA template. improvement is attributed optimized structure, which facilitates efficient transfer. Importantly, this addresses critical gap literature by demonstrating integration into through an environmentally friendly implications for applications volatile compound removal. advancement design could enable more practical solutions industrial air purification environmental remediation.
