The sustainability of the planet is based on reducing use fossil fuels and greenhouse gas emissions. recovery biomass waste puts economically valuable materials into circulation, which can successfully replace would otherwise be sent to landfills. Based review several published works, we observe that referenced processes value or are not necessarily most profitable environmentally friendly. used methods valorize mainly researchers knowledge experience, neglecting some more appropriate developing technologies. valorization wastes should promote production products with highest added value, it must also friendly cost-effective. This manuscript proposes a hierarchy for various waste, from agricultural activities, urban solids food processing industries, even wood industries. proposed number recommendations aimed at increasing biomass, in order reach objective carbon neutrality comply principles circular economy.

Anaerobic co-digestion is an effective method for addressing the issue of a single substrate not being able to achieve optimal conditions anaerobic digestion. By adjusting mixture ratio sewage sludge and food waste carbon nitrogen ratio, effectiveness thermophilic-mesophilic temperature phase (TPAcD) was evaluated in comparison mesophilic (MAcD) thermophilic (TAcD). The results indicated that TPAcD increased methane yield by 50.3% 32.7% compared MAcD TAcD, respectively. variation VFA, pH, ammonia levels demonstrated combines advantages both with higher hydrolysis rate early stage under (55 °C) suitable environment later (35 °C). kinetic parameters co-digestions also performs better. Therefore, further research on warranted due its significant improvements production rate, total yield, system stability. Additionally, contributes reducing emissions supports realization "carbon neutrality".

To verify the possible roles of calcium peroxide (CaO2) in addressing key challenges aerobic composting food waste, including long duration, poor compost product quality, and gas emissions during composting, this study conducted a 38-day experiment using artificially blended waste. Five containers were employed for investigating effects five doses CaO2 (0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, w/w) on physicochemical parameters, organic matter (OM) degradation, humification composting. Additionally, more evidence from microbial perspective was provided by analyzing additions community succession. The results indicated that increased relative abundance mineralization bacteria, accelerated temperature increase early stage, elevated peak temperature. It also facilitated decomposition OM enhanced synthesis humic acid stage. However, addition CaO2, especially at relatively high doses, impacted process. Compared with control, only 5% treatment had significantly greater coefficient, reaching 1.73 ± 0.11. Moreover, adding reduced total ammonia 17.1% to 59.7%. The problem of food being wasted in households has become an essential challenge recent years. Food waste can be valorized accordance with the principles sustainable development, including as a source energy. This study analyses potential anaerobic fermentation, pyrolysis, ethanol incineration, and composting to treat waste, focusing on its energy yield. research considered two scenarios for generating Poland both near term (2030) long (2050).
