Ammonia is the main harmful environmental substance affecting fish culture. The liver immune and metabolic organ of fish, its physiological homeostasis will affect health organism. In this study, healthy golden pompano Trachinotus ovatus juveniles were exposed to 5 mg/L (A5) 10 (A10) ammonia-N stress for 7 days then variation characteristics analyzed at multiple biological levels. After ammonia stress, showed obvious morphological changes responses. Specifically, oxidative indexes, such as activities anti-superoxide anion generation capacity (ASC) superoxide dismutase (SOD), elevated in A5 A10 groups, while glutathione peroxidase (GPx) activity (GSH) content disturbed; relative expression levels Nrf2 NQO1 genes increased group, expressions Keap1 HO1 decreased groups. Ferroptosis related genes, NOX1, NCOA4, FPN1 PTGS2 FTH1 group but p53, GPx4, SLC7A11, NFS1 only group. Inflammation TNFα, IL1β, IL8 levels, IL10 was TGFβ Immune IgM IgT, integrated biomarker responses revealed that hepatotoxicity concentration-dependent, there a high correlation between ferroptosis, inflammation, function changes. These results reveal on T. ovatus.
