Growing evidence shows a beneficial effect of exposure to greenspace on cardiometabolic health, although limited by the cross-sectional design most studies. This study examined long-term associations residential greenness with metabolic syndrome (MetS) and MetS components within ORISCAV-LUX (Wave 1: 2007-2009, Wave 2: 2016-2017, n = 395 adults). Objective was measured in both waves Soil-Adjusted Vegetation Index (SAVI) Tree Cover Density (TCD). Linear mixed models were fitted estimate baseline levels change (continuous score: siMS score) its (waist circumference, triglycerides, HDL-cholesterol, fasting plasma glucose systolic blood pressure), respectively. provides that an increase SAVI, but not TCD, may play role preventing MetS, as well improving HDL-cholesterol levels. Greater SAVI also associated lower women participants living municipalities intermediate housing price, greater TCD larger waist circumference. Overall, findings suggest impact increased outcomes. This study explored the relationship between green space accessibility (GSA) in residential area and adolescents' mental well-being, whether was moderated by sociodemographic factors (sex, ethnicity, neighbourhood deprivation), identities (gender sexuality minority, disability) perceived safety simultaneously. Data from 3813 adolescents who lived Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, Aotearoa New Zealand were obtained Youth19 Rangatahi Smart Survey. A Gaussian-based two-step floating catchment method employed to measure spatial at level. The World Health Organization-5 Well-being Index used assess emotional well-being (EW), Reynolds Adolescent Depression Scale-short form depressive symptoms (DS). Through moderation analyses, results showed that plays a vital role GSA - association, with negative trend reported being less safe neighbourhoods. Adverse associations of found gender disabled, Asian Pacific adolescents, under condition not feeling neighbourhoods all time. marginalised tended feel neighbourhoods, have lower EW higher level DS. Additionally, bivariate correlations there inequalities for most deprived Māori ethnicity. provides novel evidence importance inclusive effectively promoting health mitigating urban areas.

Abstract Purpose To guide the effective use of nature-based approaches, we aimed to determine current practice, challenges and proposed solutions concerning these approaches by allied health professionals (AHPs). We also investigated signs, symptoms conditions AHPs believe may prevent and/or manage, as well perceived impact COVID-19 pandemic. Materials methods Allied who used or wanted in Australia were invited complete an online questionnaire. Qualitative data analysed through inductive coding categorisation, while descriptive statistics reported for quantitative data. Results indicated that exposure nature could manage a range physical mental health, social developmental outcomes. Perceived identified, related patients/clients, themselves, external factors. Recommended included increasing education general public, advancing more research, implementing changes governance, legitimisation part practice. Conclusions Increasing awareness evidence among across sectors – particularly with policy, education, funding, management– will support their legitimacy potential benefit populations. Implications rehabilitation help physical, mental, Challenges patient/ client, professional, address challenges, is key, which be driven predominantly research education.
