In recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS), waste management of nutrient-rich byproducts accounts for 30–50% the whole production costs. Integrating microalgae into RAS offers complementary solutions transforming streams valuable co-products. This review aims to provide an overview recent advances in application enhance performance and derive value from all by using effluents as microalgal nutrient sources. Aquaculture solid can be converted hydrothermal liquefaction (HTL), then resultant aqueous phase HTL used cultivation. addition, generate required oxygen while sequestering carbon dioxide. The suggests a novel integrated system focusing on oxygenation dioxide capture along with technological developments concerning efficient cultivation recovery techniques. such system, microalgae-based biorefineries environmentally-conscious economically-viable pathways enhanced conversion high-value products.
