The
objective

Abstract
Centralized
water
infrastructure
has,
over
the
last
century,
brought
safe
and
reliable
drinking
to
much
of
world.
But
climate
change,
combined
with
aging
underfunded
infrastructure,
is
increasingly
testing
limits
of—and
reversing
gains
made
by—this
approach.
To
address
these
growing
strains
gaps,
we
must
assess
advance
alternatives
centralized
provision
sanitation.
The
literature
rife
examples
systems
that
are
neither
nor
networked,
yet
meet
needs
local
communities
in
important
ways,
including:
informal
hybrid
systems,
decentralized
provision,
community‐based
management,
small
point‐of‐use
treatment,
small‐scale
vendors,
packaged
water.
Our
work
builds
on
literatures
by
proposing
a
convergence
approach
can
integrate
explore
benefits
challenges
modular,
adaptive,
(“MAD”)
sanitation,
often
foregrounding
advances
engineering
technology.
We
further
provide
frameworks
evaluate
justice,
economic
feasibility,
governance,
human
health,
environmental
sustainability
as
key
parameters
MAD
system
performance.

Slums
worldwide,
from
Africa
to
Asia,
face
inadequate
infrastructure,
fostering
health
crises,
and
hindering
progress
toward
sustainable
development
goals

clean
water

populated
slums
pose
significant
risks
due
poor
waste
management.
This
study
examines
the
link
between
sanitation
in
10
Khulna,
Bangladesh.
The
research
evaluates
339
randomly
selected
households
using
a
rapid
assessment
tool
detailed
survey,
with
ArcGIS
aiding
sampling
process.
Findings
reveal
disparities
private
public
facing
higher
than
semi-public
ones.
About
70%
of
have
composite
risk
score
above
50%,
40%
are
exposed
crises.
Overall,
present
medium-scale
hazards,
vulnerability.
Addressing
these
challenges
requires
tackling
exposure,
vulnerability,
enhancing
access
safe
sanitation,
reducing
waterborne
diseases,
resilient
urban
infrastructure.
Policymakers
should
invest
promote
education,
implement
action
plans
improve
living
conditions

Hydrothermal
carbonization
(HTC)
is
considered
a
promising
technology
for
biomass
waste
management
without
pre-drying.

The
wastewater
treatment
plant
(WWTP)
uses
a
dewatering
machine
to
separate
sludge
from
water.
resulting

as
raw
material

Refuse
Derived
Fuel
(RDF),

separated
water
treated
in
subsequent
WWTP
unit.
However,
currently
only
processed
into
briquettes
per
policy
and
then
disposed
of
landfills.
Our
investigation
centers
on
effects

temperature
characteristics
Initial
analysis
revealed
that
1-day-old
possesses
high
moisture
content
(87.72%)
low
calorific
value
(3.44
MJ/kg).
Carbonization
at
300°C
significantly
enhanced
sludge's
12,504
MJ/kg,
reduced
its
60.72%,
increased
carbon
percentage
22.76%,
indicating
direct
correlation
between
both
energy
recovery
content.
Comparative
showed
carbonized
lower
temperatures
(200°C
100°C)
yielded
percentages
(22.23%
21.66%,
respectively)
values,
underscoring
efficiency
higher
optimizing
recovery..
