The Munich Security Conference 2024 highlighted the complex connections between climate change and global security risks. Engaging students in fighting is a stepping stone to achieving Sustainable Development Goals. To investigate effect of video-based program on revitalising eco-cognizance, emotional response, self-efficacy among nursing rural communities. A randomised controlled trial research design was adopted. total 140 completed survey related Climate Change Perceptions, Anxiety Scale, Environmental Self-Efficacy Scale. study group engaged program, while comparison received flyers across globe. intervention significantly improved perception environmental compared control group, with large sizes. Introduction Atmospheric temperature affects the growth and development of plants has an important impact on sustainable forest ecological systems. Predicting atmospheric is crucial for management planning. Methods Artificial neural network (ANN) deep learning models such as gate recurrent unit (GRU), long short-term memory (LSTM), convolutional (CNN), CNN-GRU, CNN-LSTM, were utilized to predict change monthly average extreme temperatures in Zhengzhou City. Average data from 1951 2022 divided into training sets (1951–2000) prediction (2001–2022), 22 months used model input next month. Results Discussion The number neurons hidden layer was 14. Six different algorithms, along with 13 various functions, trained compared. ANN evaluated terms correlation coefficient (R), root mean square error (RMSE), absolute (MAE), good results obtained. Bayesian regularization (trainbr) best performing algorithm predicting average, minimum maximum compared other algorithms R (0.9952, 0.9899, 0.9721), showed lowest values RMSE (0.9432, 1.4034, 2.0505), MAE (0.7204, 1.0787, 1.6224). CNN-LSTM performance. This method had generalization ability could be forecast areas. Future climate changes projected using model. temperature, 2030 predicted 17.23 °C, −5.06 42.44 whereas those 2040 17.36 −3.74 42.68 respectively. These suggest that continue warming future.

Abstract Cyprus is a European island state in the eastern Mediterranean climate change hotspot. Despite being relatively small island, it has diverse climatic zones, ranging from semi-arid to subhumid mountains and humid on Mount Olympos. Given accelerated rate of environmental region, present study aims identify, update observed trends critical parameters, highlighting vulnerable areas within island. Moreover, since nationwide multi-model assessments future conditions are limited or outdated, we aim investigate range projections using 21-member EURO-CORDEX ensemble under pathways RCP2.6 RCP8.5. Besides mean conditions, analyze various extreme indicators relevant socio-economic activities such as agriculture, biodiversity, tourism, energy water resources. Our historical analysis revealed statistically significant increasing temperature trend (0.4 °C–0.6 °C per decade), which more pronounced during summer spring. Concerning precipitation, not robust, nevertheless, southeastern coast central regions near capital city Nicosia substantially drier prone further changes precipitation regimes. The for end 21st century, according high radiative forcing scenario (RCP8.5), indicate that likely experience an annual increase over 4 approximate 20%–30% reduction rainfall, relative 1981–2000. These highlight alarming requires urgent attention proactive measures mitigate potential impacts

In this study, the relationship between increasing banana production in Mediterranean region of Türkiye and performance Water User Associations (WUAs) is investigated. The increase due to economic incentives nutrient demand has triggered a complex nexus challenges opportunities context water resource management. effect areas on WUAs not been studied terms statistical evaluation. Principle component analysis sheds light several critical dimensions, including irrigation use, methods, management, operation maintenance costs, value, supply ratio, all which are affected by expansion cultivation. findings underline urgency adaptive strategies sustainable practices within scope meet growing for water, promote water-efficient technologies, mitigate environmental consequences. As result research, it observed that ensures more efficient use improves performances related reduces operating, maintenance, management costs per unit service area.

Climatic changes lead to many extreme weather events throughout the globe. These influence our behavior, exposing us different environmental conditions, such as poor indoor quality. Poor air quality (IAQ) poses a significant concern in modern era, people spend up 90% of their time indoors. Ventilation influences key IAQ elements temperature, relative humidity, and particulate matter (PM). Children, considered vulnerable group, approximately 30% educational settings, often housed old structures with poorly maintained ventilation systems. Extreme young students stay indoors, usually behind closed doors windows, which may exposure elevated levels pollutants. In research, we aim demonstrate how real-time monitoring pollutants other parameters under is important for regulating environment. A study was conducted school building limited located an arid region near Red Sea, frequently suffers from high PM concentrations. this study, tracked conditions during entire month May 2022, including outdoor event sandstorms. During month, continuously monitored four classrooms elementary built 1967 Eilat. Our findings indicate that PM2.5 higher indoors (statistically significant) by more than 16% event. Temperature also 5%. The parameters’ deviation highlights need better control systems, well ongoing schools maintain healthy This warrants are approaching era climatic instability, occurrence similar events, urge develop responses urban areas.
