With increases in global population and urbanization, the production of Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) is growing rapidly, thus contributing to social environmental concerns for sustainable waste management. This study addresses research gap optimizing composting, hypothesizing that integrating best practices recent innovations can enhance efficiency process. Data were collected through a systematic review existing literature using Google Scholar Scopus databases. The provides an overview municipal organic outlining its processes, benefits, challenges with aim identifying key area further improvement possibilities adopting technological innovations. analysis emphasized advances as microbial inoculants or in-vessel composting have greatly improved quality resulting compost. However, several remain, including managing contaminants such heavy metals microplastics, ensuring compost safety addressing socioeconomic barriers prevent widespread adoption. Vermifiltration is a promising technique that can help recover nutrients from wastewater for further use in agriculture. We conducted field experiment to assess the effectiveness of vermicompost produced vermifiltration liquid waste (manure and food production waste) how it affect soil health yield squash crop. tested effect three rates (low, medium, high) applied over two consecutive years measured physical, chemical, biological indicators, yield, nutritional status. The results showed vermicompost, especially at high rate, increased total carbon, nitrogen, potentially mineralizable particulate organic matter, as well activity C-N-P cycling enzymes, compared control with only inorganic fertilization. crop remained stable, while value improved levels boron copper treated increased. These findings indicate an improvement after vermicompost. Overall, strongly support using this type sustainable management approach recycle enhance health.

Among the many inputs, nitrogen fertilizers are main yield-limiting factor in agriculture. Liquid fractions of digestates can be a most promising substitute to synthetic fertilizers, using little energy turn waste into valuable fertilizers. In this study, efficacy five from different origin (C, cow slurry; P, pig PCE, slurry, crops; SS, sewage sludge; W, organic fraction municipal waste) were assessed as for cultivation Lactuca sativa L., compared traditional mineral fertilization.
