AbstractA
simple,

microwave-assisted
synthesis

Two-dimensional
MXenes

principles
and
characteristics
of
solid-phase
extraction
(SPE)
are
discussed.
The
categories
nanomaterial-based
adsorbents
namely
metal/metal
oxides,
magnetic
nanoparticles,
silica-based
two-dimensional
(2D)
nanomaterials
(NMs),
polymeric
nanotubes,
semiconductor
NMs,
nanoporous
materials
along
with
their
features
discussed
followed
by
evaluating
synthetic
strategies.
Finally,
application
sorbents
for
preconcentration
drugs,
pesticides,
heavy
metals
in
biological,
food,
environmental
samples
is
assessed.
Overall,
future
SPE
techniques
expected
to
include
advances
downsizing,
automation,
selectivity,
sustainability,
integration
other
analytical
techniques,
resulting
more
efficient
effective
sample
preparation
procedures
a
variety
applications.
