Carbon Emissions Dynamics and Environmental Sustainability in China’s Tourism Sector: A 22-Year Comprehensive Regional Study DOI Open Access

China’s tourism industry has rapidly grown over the past two decades, significantly contributing to national economy but also increasing carbon emissions. This raised concerns about environmental sustainability, especially given commitments peak emissions by 2030 and achieve neutrality 2060. study analyzes changes in emissions, carrying capacity, Tourism Carbon Pressure Index (TCPI) of from 2000 2022, aiming support green transition sector. Examining data 31 provinces, we observed a significant growth trend with temporary decline during COVID-19 pandemic 2020, followed rebound 2021 2022. The findings reveal that capacity are relatively stable eastern regions, more pronounced central western particularly west. TCPI is higher east, indicating greater pressure, while it regions. To sustainable development, propose promoting transportation, eco-friendly hotels, scenic spots, improving resource utilization efficiency, enhancing policy technological innovation, adopting regional development strategies. The purpose of this work was to consider the decolorization efficiency reactive yellow 160 (Ry-160) dye utilizing cobalt aluminum oxide (AlCo2O4)-anchored Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotubes (AlCo2O4/MWCNTs) nanocomposites as catalysts for first time in a photocatalytic process under natural sunlight irradiation. compositional, morphological, and functional group analyses AlCo2O4 AlCo2O4/MWCNTs were performed by Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS), Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FE-SEM), Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) Spectroscopy, respectively. A UV-Vis (UV-Vis) spectrophotometer used investigate degradation efficiency. results exhibited reduction optical bandgap from 1.5 1.3 eV compared with pure spinel nanocomposites. showed excellent behavior, around 96% Ry-160 observed just 20 min sunlight, showing first-order kinetics rate constant 0.151 min−1. outstanding stability reusability maintaining more than 90% even after seven successive operational cycles. betterment behavior owes first-rate storage capacity electrons MWCNTs, due which catalyst became an electron acceptor. Water resource tax can regulate water consumption through economic leveraging, enhance conservation awareness among enterprises and society, optimize the industrial structure, thus promoting rational use sustainable development. However, current reform in China is still pilot exploration stage, it unclear if will actually increase agricultural efficiency. We built a multi-period double-difference model mediation effect based on 2011–2022 inter-provincial panel data order to investigate reform’s impact its trajectory. The findings demonstrate that efficiency has been greatly increased by reform, this conclusion remains strong even after parallel trend placebo testing. primarily crop cultivation structural adjustments water-saving technologies’ advancement. When examining disparities, we found more evident policy economically developed water-scarce regions. Further results show significantly reduced groundwater portion of regional which indicates synergistically curbed exploitation promoted ecological restoration. Moreover, paper demonstrates realized agriculture while avoiding negative growth.
