The adoption of renewable energy sources offers significant economic and sustainability benefits. These sources—solar, wind, hydro, biomass, geothermal—are crucial for transitioning to a sustainable, low-pollution model. Key benefits include job creation, reduced costs, decreased reliance on imported resources, minimized environmental impact, long-term stability. Renewable also plays vital role in achieving goals. By reducing dependence it enhances security. Countries investing renewables lower their international supply chains geopolitical risks, which is particularly relevant European Union nations historically dependent imports. Domestic resources help stabilize prices ensure consistent supply. This study aimed assess the impact economy sustainable development Union. Data all variables were collected from Eurostat database. unbalanced panel data sample consisted 27 EU countries (N = 27), covering period 2001–2022 (T 22). analysis generalization scientific literature compared theoretical practical statements, econometric models, least squares method. Here, hypothesis that “the transition will have smaller negative growth when country more sources” was accepted, this means using not only contributes goals climate change mitigation but provides various benefits, including prices, greater security, sustainability. It essential cleaner economy.

This paper explores the motivations behind urban climate governance in eight Swedish municipalities. The study demonstrates that political consensus among, and willingness of, leaders is of importance for motivating actions. Municipalities are moreover motivated by accomplishments other cities, national subnational policies, an increasing concern society. In line with previous research, individual policy entrepreneurs have been important local action; however, adoption policies becoming increasingly institutionalised. Although some conclusions confirm significance a polycentric approach, little relevance was attributed to citizen participation. institutionalisation deserves further attention so as better understand how dynamics can be affected, what implications this may on policy-making process, engagement support residents.

Abstract Effective adaptation to climate risks requires identifying and realizing community beliefs about which locations require management attention. Environmental planners asset managers, especially those in rural regional areas, often struggle engage with sentiments place or incorporate feelings into decision-making processes. This study measures the associations between spatial perceptions of change spatially assigned landscape values support prioritization. Using public participation geographic information systems data collected via an online survey Southern Tasmania, we identify factors influencing mapping behavior, finding correlations values, risks, physical assets. Results from linear regression spatial-cross correlation indicate that risk are strongly associated values. Additionally, mapped demonstrate novel select on-ground assets (e.g., towns protected areas). The highest-ranked perceived were Bushfire, Sea-level rise, Biodiversity loss/change. Considering Recreation Wilderness Bushfire variable relationships rise (strong for weak Wilderness). Intercorrelations social-psychological factors, returned inconclusive results warranting further research. approach described this research has potential inform planning by categorizing key action, areas likely leading resistance, underlying more broadly.
