In recent years, the morphology control of nanoparticles (NPs) has been an effective way to improve catalytic performance PtPd alloys. Polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) can be used as a multifunctional orientation and stabilizer for monodisperse nanostructure synthesis. ethylene glycol (EG), PVP stabilizes crystal plane by interaction carbonyl group repeating unit with metal surface. this article, series Pt, Pd, alloy NPs different morphologies within 10 nm were synthesized changing content explore effects exposure ratios on morphology. The DFT results showed that contents would expose planes NPs. exposed have hydrolysis ammonia borane (AB). An appropriate {100}/{111} ratio was conducive adsorption H2O desorption H2 so promote AB. adjustment endowed superior AB performance. This work provides more insights improving through plane.
