These days, the removal of dissolved organics from industrial waste water is a foremost challenge to scientific community attain conservation aqueous ecosystem. The present work emphasizes photocatalytic degradation dye, that is, Amaranth using Fe‐doped ZnO (Fe‐ZnO) nanoparticles. formation wurtzite phase bare and Fe‐ZnO materials fabricated by solvothermal route confirmed XRD Fourier‐transform infrared spectroscopy, whereas scanning electron microscopy morphological investigations reveal coral‐like granular particles. bandgap energies synthesized are observed be shifted blue region on gradual Fe doping, indicating suitability material for photocatalysis. activity as‐synthesized evaluated under sunlight mercury lamp light, wherein 6% shows more than 98% dye within 80 min in sunlight. kinetic studies pseudo‐first‐order reaction with rate constant 0.0114 −1 effects catalyst loading, light source, stability photocatalyst also explored along proposed photogenerated free radical‐based mechanism.
