Perovskite oxides act as an efficient electrocatalyst, but their limited active surface area has made it challenging to enhance electrocatalytic activity. Thus, researchers found that changing the crystalline amorphous having oxygen vacancy can create enriched zone. In this research, we adopt a top-down approach for amorphization of CeCoO3 nanostructure creates crystal defects, producing materials with higher specific area, potential electrocatalysis evolution reaction (OER) and greater stability. The calculated overpotential (η) Tafel slope defective CoCO3 (D-CCO3) is 265 35.95 mV dec−1 very low compared (C-CCO3, 384 76.11 dec−1). electrochemical analysis also suggests (D-CCO) exhibited 33.96 mF ECSA 849 cm2. current research enables valuable improving material properties efficiency nanoscale perovskite oxide electrocatalysts attributed defects nitrogen doping. However, further modifications D-CCO structure in near future may be employed address other environmental challenges.
