Passive cooling systems have garnered much attention in recent years as a sustainable and cost-effective method of regulating indoor temperatures. Phase change materials (PCM) are promising technology for such systems, they can store release large amounts thermal energy during the phase transition process while maintaining temperature very specific range. In this study, we investigated performance passive system using PCM modules evaluated effect different variables on its efficiency. Several tests were conducted, varying ambient temperature, number plates, type to determine optimal conditions system. A with melting around 22°C was used compared ice. While ice showed larger effect, advantage emerged elevated Compared ice, due smaller difference $\Delta \mathrm{T}$ between PCM, lasted significantly longer time. Moreover, increasing plates proved elongate overall storage capacity Overall, our findings suggest that be an effective solution However, careful consideration must given choice well system, optimize performance.

Abstract Enhancement of the cooling and heating capabilities an air conditioning unit (ACU) coupled with a thermal energy storage system dual phase change materials (PCM) is investigated. The PCM, namely SP24E SP11_gel, are ACU outdoor device (condenser/evaporator) during summer/winter seasons, respectively. Moreover, performance assisted dual-PCM heat exchanger compared single in summer SP11_gel winter at different PCM capsulation structures (aligned staggered cylinders). dynamic mathematical model computationally solved using ANSYS software experimentally validated. Results affirm that charging/discharging periods minimal for slower inline cylinder layouts than ones. Inline design yields greater average power savings. In summer, higher inlet temperature to reduces discharging time savings, opposite effect winter. COP PCMs improved by around 80 % 40 winter, respectively, without PCMs. maximum saving over 4 h working systems 21.4 11.8 %, whereas results 18.5 12.8
