The battery thermal management system (BTMS) plays a key role in keeping the electric vehicle temperature within safety limits. A poorly designed BTMS may reduce operational life of battery. present work aims to maintain below threshold limit using triangular and elliptical-shaped novel fins phase change material (PCM). Multiple arrays these were fitted along cell height annulus space between sleeve casing such that tip touches casing. individual combined performance PCM was assessed through measurements thermocouples camera at various power inputs 30, 50 70 W. At W, operation extended by maximum 250 %, 270 % 280 for with PCM, elliptical fins, respectively. lowest extension 10 observed alone This demonstrates significant influence on performance. contours showed all settings, peak occurs center. studies demonstrate potential application PCM.
