The main objective of this numerical study is to investigate the effect triangle fin inclination angles (IAs) on melting process in a Latent Heat Thermal Energy Storage (LHTES) system designed as vertical rectangular cavity with and without metal foam (MF). In cases, paraffin wax phase change material (PCM) filled entire domain, Brinkman-Darcy-Forchheimer model, assuming local thermal equilibrium (LTE), enthalpy-porosity method were employed simulate process. total, 14 different cases analyzed results validated literature at high accuracy. Melting time, stored energy, temperature variation, hydrodynamical behavior derived from simulations are provided. findings highlight that utilizing MF has reduced time by 87.5 times it provided uniform due enhancing conductivity domains. Also, varied shortest was realized 120° MF, while experienced earliest R-60°. However, using decreased energy amount rate 5.69% highest storage R-60° 54.83 kJ.m-1.
