Natural gas hydrate is widely recognized as a promising energy source, with depressurization emerging the preferred method due to its simplicity and cost-effectiveness. Employing an appropriate strategy paramount for maximizing production efficiency, especially when faced constraints in reservoir heat supply. However, precise influence of rate on supply remains unclear. Hydrate agglomeration and blockage have emerged as significant challenges in deep-water oil gas exploitation. Currently, there are limited studies on the velocity distribution of hydrate particles inside pipe they move during flow process. This study utilizes computational fluid dynamics (CFD)–discrete element method (DEM) methods to simulate process slurry a horizontal pipe.
