ABSTRACT Shared energy storage plays a crucial role in facilitating the low‐carbon transition, serving as flexible resource to mitigate volatility of renewable energy. However, core challenge lies lack an effective cost recovery mechanism, which hampers its economic viability. To address this issue, paper proposes capacity compensation mechanism that incorporates market‐based revenue streams for shared storage. By introducing degradation factor, quantifies actual support capability systems and dynamically adjusts unit price total accordingly. The results indicate equivalent is significantly influenced by discharge duration capacity. Doubling increases approximately 10.5%, while rises 16.4¥/(kW·year). Furthermore, integration revenues enhances overall feasibility storage, stimulates investment, improves flexibility operational stability power systems.
