The transition to renewable energy sources from fossil fuels requires that the harvested be stored because of intermittent nature sources. Thus, lithium-ion batteries have become a widely utilized power source in both daily life and industrial applications due their high output long lifetime. In order ensure safe operation these at desired capacities, it is crucial implement thermal management system (TMS) effectively controls battery temperature. this study, performance 1S14P module composed cylindrical 18650 cells was compared for distinct cases natural convection (no cooling), forced air convection, phase change material (PCM) cooling. During tests, greatest temperatures were reached 2C discharge rate; maximum temperature 55.4 °C under condition, whereas PCM cooling reduced 46.1 52.3 °C, respectively. addition, contacting with an aluminum mass without using active element 53.4 °C. polyamide housing (holder) used limited performance. simulations on alternative materials document how efficiency can increased.
