Cadmium contamination in aquatic environments poses severe risks to organisms, particularly fish, where cadmium accumulation tissues can lead compromised organ functionality and reproductive issues. The present study aimed assess the effects of (Cd) exposure on key biomarkers oxidative stress, DNA damage, apoptosis, enzyme activity liver kidney rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss). Specifically, measured 8-hydroxy-2-deoxyguanosine (8-OHdG) levels, caspase-3 activation, acetylcholinesterase (AChE) activity, stress indicators (ONOO

The widespread use of carbamate pesticides has led to numerous environmental and health concerns, including water contamination perturbation endocrine homeostasis among organisms. However, there remains a paucity research elucidating the specific effects methomyl on gut microbial composition physiological functions. This study aimed investigate intricate relationship between changes in zebrafish bacterial communities intestinal function after 56 days sub-chronic exposure at environmentally relevant concentrations (0, 0.05, 0.10, 0.20 mg/L). Our findings reveal significant methomyl-induced morphological intestines, characterized by villi shortening breakage. Notably, down-regulated nutrient energy metabolism, drug metabolism 0.05−0.10 mg/L, while up-regulating cortisol, inflammation-related genes, apoptotic markers mg/L. These manifestations indicate stress imposition disruption microbiota equilibrium, impacting metabolic processes instigating low-grade inflammatory responses cascades. Importantly, significantly correlated with shifts taxa abundance, Shewanella, Rubrobacter, Acinetobacter, Bacillus, Luteolibacter, Nocardia, Defluviimonas, Bacteroides genus. In summary, our underscores potential adverse aquatic organisms, emphasizing necessity for further mitigate its repercussions ecosystem stability.

Background : Thiamethoxam (TMX) is a dangerous neonicotinoid pesticide that induces liver damage in chickens. In this study, the toxicity of TMX chicken was examined along with capacity dandelion extract to alleviate toxicity. Methods: A total 48 one-day-old, clinically healthy, non-vaccinated chicks. Chicks were divided into four groups (12 chicks per group): control (saline), TMX, + Dandelion (DAN), and DAN TMX. The treatment orally administered at 500 mg/kg BW 400 BW, experiment extended over 60 days. Blood samples collected 60th days post drug administration for hematological biochemical analyses. addition, histopathological examination performed. Results: Oral chicken-intoxicated mice significantly elevated levels Hb, WBCs, protein, albumin reduced activities serum ALT, AST, urea, uric acid, creatinine compared those group. Furthermore, decreased malondialdehyde content increased glutathione antioxidant enzyme activity. Moreover, remarkable decline mRNA expression lL-6 NFKB recorded hepatic tissues restored architecture normal levels. Conclusions addition dandelions appears indicate healthy lessens TMX-induced chickens by reducing oxidative stress.
