Abstract Drilling fluids are the core of drilling operations, and they responsible for many roles, such as lubricating drill string, cooling down equipment, maintaining wellbore integrity, transporting cuttings to surface. High-energy demands have caused oil gas production rates increase by orders magnitude, which is accompanied increased usage different fluids, including oil-based muds (OBM) water-based (WBM). Large amounts used without caution can cause severe consequences environment if not well monitored. Therefore, field has been exploring utilization biodegradable environmentally friendly additives (green). These green formulations promote a safer alternative currently available commercial additives, meet sophisticated requirements, ensure resource sustainability. A comprehensive overview literature conducted in this review, starting with background on reservoir types transportation mechanisms, followed discussion various recent or emerging field. In addition, an economic comparison assess feasibility reviewed formulations. Finally, review ends summary future prospective topic. conclusion, suggests development multifunctional good hole-cleaning properties, utilizing studied functions (e.g., filtration). Enhancement rheological properties achieved through addition these indicates their suitability applications, must be confirmed additional studies. Consequently, filling existing gap triggering research topics area.

Актуальность исследования обусловлена необходимостью создания и внедрения эффективных способов обращения с промышленными отходами. Рассматривается возможность совместного обезвреживания буровых шламов железосодержащих отходов станций водоподготовки. Цель работы - изучение влияния порошков, образующихся в процессе водоочистки, на свойства бурового шлама при термическом обезвреживании. Методы исследования. В качестве объекта использован буровой шлам Средне-Назымского нефтяного месторождения железосодержащий порошок, образованный Велижанской станции подготовки подземных вод Тюменской области. Количество вводимой добавки составляет 6, 10, 20 30% по массе. Образцы формовались цилиндры, высушивались подвергались обжигу 800 °С, после чего были изучены физико-механические характеристики (прочность сжатии, водопоглощение, потери прокаливании, коэффициент размягчения), содержание нефтепродуктов, pH, активность естественных радионуклидов (ЕРН). Результаты работы. При добавлении железосодержащего порошка последующем обжиге зафиксировано изменение реакции среды щелочную сторону. без добавок наблюдается снижение нефтепродуктов 43,5%, внесении 96,4-98,7%. Величина удельной эффективной активности ЕРН обжига образце снижалась, а введении увеличивалась. С увеличением количества происходит прочности сжатии как сухом, так водонасыщенном состоянии. The relevance of the study lies in need to develop and implement efficient methods for managing industrial waste. We are considering possibility jointly neutralizing drilling sludge iron-containing waste from water treatment facilities. aim this work is investigate influence powders produced during on characteristics thermal treatment. Research methods: Drilling Sredne-Nazymskoye oil field an iron-rich powder at Velizhanskaya groundwater facility Tyumen region served as basis our research. introduced different amounts additive into sludge, ranging 6% by weight. samples were molded cylinders dried then fired 800°C. After this, physico-mechanical properties (compressive strength, absorption, calcination loss, softening coefficient), content petroleum products, pH activity natural radionuclides analyzed. results showed that when was added subsequently fired, there a change reaction medium towards alkaline side. When without additives, products decreased 43.5%. applied, decrease between 96.4% 98.7%. specific effective product also changed after firing, depending whether or not had been added. With increasing powder, compressive strength both dry water-saturated states.

Beyond the intensive worldwide oil wells drilling activities for seeking energy, amount of oil-based cuttings (OBDC) increased significantly, OBDC defined as a wasted mud which is used in operation wells. The falls under category hazardous waste that contains heavy metals and radioactive elements. In this study, was substitute mineral powder hot mix asphalt. Various doses (0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, 100% by weight) were employed to replace powder. Marshall specimens prepared assess physical characteristics examine microstructure. results, employing 100%, stability decreased from 12.1 kN 9.22 kN, flow value 3.96 mm 3.3 compared control specimen (0% OBDC) due presence uncoated agglomeration large particle bitumen constituent examined scanning electron microscope. Air voids increase 3.9% 4.26% aggregates 14.63% 15.20% when replaced filler 0% respectively, difference between specific gravity powder, higher percentage leads porosity specimen. Utilizing instead compromised because result within standard ranges.

Contaminant leaching from asphalt pavements poses a significant environmental concern, potentially damaging soil and groundwater quality. The growing interest in incorporating recycled materials has further raised concerns over the potential hazards due to contaminant leaching. Consequently, this paper offers comprehensive review of literature past three decades structured into six sections: contamination via leaching, methodologies for evaluating analysis contaminants, contaminants road waste, other factors affecting pollutants pavements, mathematical models predict pavements. Despite importance addressing issues, there is lack standardised tests guidelines specific materials, limited attention beyond heavy metals PAHs leachates, insufficient understanding optimal instrument parameters leachate analysis, scarcity future potential.

Drilling fluid additives that maintain wellbore stability have attracted considerable attention because of the frequent occurrence instability accidents during drilling operations. However, achieving long-term in practical applications remains challenging. Herein, we report application chitin-based amphiphobic nanocomposites (PFTMS@ChNCs/SiO2) to oil-based fluids (ODFs). The PFTMS@ChNCs/SiO2 was prepared using a template approach, generating silica shells on surface chitin nanocrystals via sol–gel method, followed by modification with 1H,1H,2H,2H-perfluorooctyltrimethoxysilane (PFTMS). exhibited excellent thermal and chemical stability; even after heating hot air at 200 °C for 24 h or soaking 150 7 d, contact angle water oil remained above 120°, making them suitable harsh conditions. shale treated demonstrated remarkable liquid-repelling properties maintained good mechanical strength prolonged immersion high-temperature fluids. Moreover, incorporating into ODFs improved their performance, including enhanced rheological properties, better filtration control, mud cake quality. Filtration tests showed 39.6% reduction loss, whereas medium permeability decreased 0.211 × 10–4 mD. This study presents promising method stabilization direction gas engineering applications.
