Composting is a well-known method for waste management, but it causes greenhouse gas emissions. Various techniques have been used to reduce emissions and improve the quality of compost, they resulted in an increased composting time. Keeping view above points, current study aimed time along with improving nutritional value compost using FeSO4 as additive cattle manure corn straw composting. Seven treatments were established, including control (CK) without six levels (0.25%, 0.50%, 1%, 2%, 4%, 8%). The results revealed that reduced CH4 (36.1–36.7%), H2S (10.7–34.5%), N2O (17.2–48.5%), NH3 (18.3–69.0%) compared CK. In addition, total N (8.4–40.0%) content products was also improved. showed higher dose applied can significantly emissions, reduces temperature at start resulting increase time, while lower (0.5–1%) has capability negatively affecting rise. concludes 0.5–1% effectively utilize its inhibitory action decomposition mitigates prepares N-enriched compost.

Abstract With the fast-growing urbanization simultaneously there is a rise in production of garden waste including dry leaves, stems, twigs, grasses, flowers, etc which indeed posing challenge for local government agencies everywhere to ensure its proper management and disposal. To overcome problem controlled temperature aeration flow rate reactor has fabricated. . Four trials T1, T2, T3, T4 were executed constituting different forms like grinded, un-shredded, shredded with additives, without carried out 30 days using portable temperature-controlled in-vessel reactor. The (50- 600C) maintained during process composting moisture up 65% throughout period. trial 1 was best combination among all variation pH (7.7-8.2), total organic carbon (40-37.6), nitrogen (0.6-1.1), C:N ratio (61.5-34.2), cellulose (43.3-3.9), hemicellulose (10.1-0.6) lignin (13.1-0.11) at end days. degradation Un-shredded leaves found be very slow due large size leaves. findings demonstrated that effective feasible by following specific criteria, decreases environmental impact current
