In this study, different proportions of Le were used to amend purple, yellow, and yellow–brown soils karst areas investigate the effect litter extract (Le) from Ficus virens on Cd(II) Pb(II) adsorption in soils. The basic physicochemical properties Le-amended determined, microscopic morphology was detected. batch method study isothermal characteristics Physicochemical results showed that amended soil surface changed soil. maximum capacity range by 92.10–241.61 108.91–262.12 mmol/kg, respectively, peak value reached when with 20 % Le. Increasing pH temperature beneficial each amount initially increased then decreased increase ionic strength. a spontaneous, endothermic, entropy-increasing process, electrostatic attraction, precipitation, complexation, ion exchange main mechanisms. maintained approximately 85 original sample after three rounds regeneration.
