The potentially toxic element pollution of agricultural soils has become a significant environmental threat to food safety and human health. Accurately identifying sources is key developing effective prevention control measures. In this study, regional the in Nanliujiang River Basin was analyzed using positive matrix factorization (PMF) model geo-detector model. First, topsoil samples from study area were collected analyze eight elements soil, including As, Cd, Cr, Cu, Hg, Ni, Pb, Zn. PMF used conduct source apportionment data identify primary their contribution rates. Then, factors affecting spatial distribution influence natural on elements. There are four soil area: geological background, activities, industrial discharge, river irrigation. background contributed most. main included This integrated method can formation depth perspectives differentiation provide scientific basis decision support for preventing controlling soils. provides new guide formulation targeted

This research looks at how the growth of cities and industries affects levels heavy metals in soil, which can impact people's health. We find out where pollution comes from, such as factories, car fumes, improper waste disposal, by reviewing existing studies. use different methods to test soil for study exposure these urban areas The evidence shows a connection between high city health problems like breathing issues, brain disorders, overall toxicity body. also explore get into human body, highlighting importance understanding they are available ways people exposed. To deal with polluted soils, we look manage suggest sustainable reduce metal pollution. Our discoveries add what know about environmental health, emphasizing need actions protect residents. Ultimately, this aims give important information insights policymakers, planners, public officials managing lessening risks linked contamination soils.

Abstract The soil environment plays an important role in urban ecosystems. To study the heavy metal contamination of Beilun District, Ningbo, we collected samples from 60 points and peri-urban areas District analyzed spatiotemporal variation sources pollution various land-use types. results shown that contents 2015 2022 were higher than background values Ningbo city, there was accumulation metals over these 7 years. green belts woodland those 2015, while no significant change agricultural land. both years mainly order > land woodland. distribution content showed concentrated five industrial areas, a trend toward disappearance highly polluted points. But single-factor index, load index (PLI), geoaccumulation (I geo ) indicated individual elements at specific slight pollution. source analysis main Hg is chemical, As derived agricultural, Cr, Ni Cu are natural, Zn Cd electroplating machinery activities, Pb traffic. These specify reference for future investigation on metals, apportionment provide scientific foundation subsequent treatment.

Soil heavy metal pollution has emerged as a substantial threat to environmental quality and human health. The levels of metals in soil are significantly influenced by activities, rendering it one the most crucial topics for sustainable development soils. This study analyzed data surface concentration Nantong from 2008 2018 explore impact policy adjustments on levels. results revealed that over past decade, overall content Pb topsoil decreased 32.41%, presumably attributed widespread use unleaded petrol. suggests can effectively regulate However, average Cr increased 68.03%, high-concentration center shifted southwestern northeastern part Nantong. large-scale relocation factories riverside coastal areas likely contributed this phenomenon. Evidently, changes soils clearly exhibited policy-driven characteristics. Therefore, is recommended when formulating or adjusting relevant policies, imperative comprehensively consider their potential impacts contamination. ensuring effectiveness policies terms sustainability environment. article provides valuable insights understanding accumulation offers guidance promoting future industrial upgrading strategic planning, which great significance guiding improvement its use.
