The circular economy has gained significant global attention, particularly in developed countries, as a novel economic model to reduce waste and optimize resource utilization. This study assesses the capacity of Chilean regions adopt model. Six were selected for this purpose. research process is carried out employs descriptive–analytical approach, conducting comparative analysis six based on nine waste-related indicators. Rank Alternative by Fractional Separation Ideal Solutions (RAFSI) method, multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) technique, was used with trapezoidal fuzzy numbers data analysis. A sensitivity employed ensure robustness results determine range variation flexibility findings indicate that Antofagasta region ranked first indicators, followed Coquimbo, Arica y Parinacota, Valparaíso, Atacama, Tarapacá. These highlight disparities performance Chile’s northern regions, emphasizing key factors influencing adoption. underscores crucial need region-specific strategies enhance sustainability management, one size does not fit all context.

Recently, an increasing number of firms have embraced sustainable supply chain practices to reduce negative environmental and societal impacts in their networks. The adoption a circular economy framework has become popular among many businesses as strategic approach achieving development goals. This involves turning used products into new items with different uses, aligning wider corporate sustainability aims. advent Industry 4.0 initiatives holds the potential exert transformative influence across entire business systems, redefining manner which are conceived, manufactured, distributed, disposed of. present study undertakes inquiry interconnections linking capabilities, green integration (GSCI), flexibility management (SSCF), utilization capabilities (CEC) within context performance (CSP). Based on comprehensive survey 256 manufacturing organizations, highlights importance integrating dynamic like GSCI SSCF I4.0 CE strategies. collected data reveal GSCI, SSCF, enhancing CEC promoting sustainability. Given these insights, recognizing harmonizing vital technologies proves valuable for organizations aiming enhance through informed decisions.
