Abstract Purpose To conduct a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of relevant literature on the imaging BCa and elucidate global research hotspots further trends in this field. Methods All published between January 1, 2000 July 25, 2023 were retrieved from Web Science Core Collection. VOSviewer, Bibliometrix Citespace utilized for publications, countries, authors, institutions, journals, references, keywords. Microsoft Excel was used to draw charts according number publications. Result A total 4033 articles retrieved. The field has been increasing consistently since 2000. USA most productive country institutions USA. Shariat SF author with 34 highest co-citations Herr HW (418). study by Siegel RL, Ca-Cancer J Clin 2019, had co-citations. Further keyword timeline view revealed that “deep learning”, “MRI”, “VI-RADS”, “muscle-invasive bladder cancer”, “immu-notherapy”, “lymphatic metastasis” recent hotspots. Conclusion occupies critical position can be classified into two periods: tumor detection period before 2011 evaluation treatment decision date. It is anticipated MRI deep learning will re-search future.

Vesical Imaging-Reporting and Data System (VI-RADS) based on multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging (mp-MRI) performed well in diagnosing muscle-invasive bladder cancer (MIBC). However, certain cases may present challenges determining the final VI-RADS score using only T2-weighted (T2WI) diffusion-weighted (DWI) sequences, especially absence of dynamic contrast-enhanced (DCE) imaging. This study aims to evaluates whether biparametric MRI (bp-MRI) achieve comparable diagnostic performance mp-MRI for predicting MIBC seeks identify most suitable bp-MRI criterion by establishing four specific conditions T2WI DWI. A retrospective analysis was conducted 447 patients who underwent preoperative mp-MRI. Images were evaluated according protocol three independent readers. In bp-DWI Plus criteria, DWI primary sequence used lesion assessment, while bp-T2WI criteria. The criteria (bp-DWI Plus) assigned a 4 when both scores 3. gold standard diagnosis histopathological evaluation after surgery. Diagnostic comparing area under curve (AUC), sensitivity, specificity, inter-reader agreement Cohen's kappa analysis. Among patients, 304 confirmed as NMIBC 143 MIBC. values 0.876, 0.873, 0.642, 0.642 mp-MRI, bp-DWI, Plus, bp-T2WI, respectively, cutoff > 2. Similarly, 3, 0.848, 0.811, 0.873. No significant differences observed between (AUC: 0.916 vs. 0.912, p = 0.498), but had higher AUCs compared Plus. Both demonstrate excellent MIBC, with being an alternative retrospectively.

Abstract Objectives (1) To evaluate the diagnostic performance of VI-RADS score in detecting muscle invasion variant urothelial carcinomas (VUC). (2) identify spesific MRI features that may serve as predicting for VUC. Methods Two hundred four patients who underwent TUR-B and/or radical cystectomy and a bladder mpMRI scan within three months prior to procedure were retrospectively enrolled. The tumors divided into two histological cohorts: pure carcinoma (PUC) Various features, including largest tumor diameter, long-to-short axis ratio, morphology, heterogeneous signal intensity (SI), presence necrosis, normalized ADC (ADC n ) value, analyzed. was calculated using cut-off point ≥ 4 both cohorts. Univariate logistic regression also performed predict Inter-reader agreement assessed with weighted kappa coefficient. Results Our study identified several significantly associated VUC, SI on T2-weighted images (OR: 3.055; 95% CI: 1.312–7.112; p < 0.001), dynamic contrast enhancement 2.935; 1.263–6.821; necrosis 3.575; 1.798–7.107; 0.001). Additionally, values lower VUC cohort ( = 0.003). demonstrated high across PUC cohorts, sensitivity ranging from 94.4 86.8% (reader 1) 94.2–82.2% 2), specificity 100 94.6% 100–94% accuracy 96 90.6% 96–88.2% 2). area under curve (AUC) ranged between 0.972 0.838–0.781 No significant differences observed readers or cohorts > 0.05), inter-reader scores excellent Conclusion can be used detect regardless reader experience. specific such SI, potential predictors Graphical

Muscle invasive bladder cancer (MIBC) is aggressive and requires radical cystectomy neoadjuvant therapy, yet over 40% of patients face recurrence. The loss the also significantly reduces quality life. Accurate staging, crucial for treatment decisions, typically done through transurethral resection (TURBT), but inconsistencies in pathology affect diagnosis 25% cases. MRI most precise imaging method evaluating local tumor invasiveness. This review discusses recent advances staging MIBC predicting responses to therapy.

: Nowadays, thanks to the introduction of VI-RADS scoring system, mpMRI has shown promising results in pre-TURBT assessment muscular invasiveness BCa, even if its application everyday practice is still limited. This might be due a lack literature about learning curve radiologists and characteristics exam. With aim reduce scan time patient discomfort while maintaining diagnostic accuracy, bpMRI been introduced as possible alternative this group patients. study reports single-center experience using system differentiate NMIBC from MIBC. The primary assess accuracy system. secondary evaluate an experienced radiologist.
