Abstract
Dry
eye
disease
(DED)
is
a

with

its

trait.
Conjunctival
goblet
cells
(CGCs)
are
specialised
secretory
found
in
conjunctival
epithelium
that
participate

Allergic
conjunctivitis
is
an
allergen-induced
immune
response
secondary
to
the
binding
of
immunoglobulin-E
(IgE)
sensitized
mast
cells.
Approximately
40%
North
Americans
and
20%
world’s
population
are
impacted
by
some
form
allergy
it
continues
increase
in
prevalence,
especially
among
children.
Specified
IgE
antibodies
can
be

almost
all
cases
exposure
seasonal
or
perennial
allergens.
Activation

levels
histamine,
tryptase,
leukotrienes,
