Epidemiologic evidence from different countries shows both increasing and decreasing incidence rates of Parkinson's disease over time without clear trends. We aimed to investigate age-specific possible explanations for the observed trends in Germany a 10-year period. Two random samples subjects aged ≥50 years included 2004-2009 2014-2019, each consisting 250,000 individuals, were drawn Germany's largest health care insurance company followed up new cases. compared cohorts performed Cox regression models calculate hazard ratios (HR) PD second period with first period, adjusted age, sex, risk factors disease. For most age groups men women, we found lower analysis showed an overall 18% reduction (HR = 0.82, 95% confidence interval [0.76-0.89]). Mean at diagnosis increased (+1.9 years) women (+0.8 years). After adjustment factors, HR was 0.78 [0.72-0.85]. Sensitivity considering competing event death 0.79 [0.73-0.86]), demonstrating independence changes rates. Our data show that has decreased this decrease is independent such as rates, structure, specific factors.

Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a complex neurodegenerative disorder characterized by numerous motor and non-motor symptoms. Recent data highlight potential interplay between the gut microbiota pathophysiology of PD. The degeneration dopaminergic neurons in PD leads to symptoms (tremor, rigidity, bradykinesia), with antecedent gastrointestinal manifestations, most notably constipation. Consequently, emerges as plausible modulator progression Key molecular changes are discussed context gut–brain axis. Evidence suggests that alterations composition may contribute gastroenteric inflammation influence Disturbances levels inflammatory markers, including tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF α), interleukin -1β (IL-1β), interleukin-6 (IL-6), have been observed patients. These implicate involvement systemic pathology. Fecal transplantation therapeutic strategy for It mitigate restoring homeostasis. Preclinical studies animal models initial clinical trials shown promising results. Overall, understanding inflammation, microbiota, pathology provides valuable insights into interventions. This review presents recent about bidirectional communication microbiome brain PD, specifically focusing on biomarkers.

ABSTRACT Parkinson's disease (PD) is a neurodegenerative involving multiple factors. We explored the connection between intestinal microbiome levels and PD by examining inflammatory cytokines, peripheral immune cell counts plasma metabolomics as potential By obtaining Genome‐Wide Association Study (GWAS) data needed for this study from GWAS Catalog, including summary 473 microbiota traits ( N = 5959), 91 cytokine 14,824), 118 count 3757), 1400 metabolite 8299) 482,730). used two‐step Mendelian randomization (MR) mediated analysis to investigate possible pathways cells metabolites. MR has revealed causal effects of 19 microbiota, 1 12 metabolites on PD, whereas there no significant relationship characteristics occurrence PD. Mediation showed that associations genus Demequina were tryptophan with proportions 17.51% p 0.0393). Our demonstrates may promote reducing tryptophan.

Parkinson's disease (PD) is a progressive that requires effective staging management. The role of intestinal microbiota in PD has been studied, but its changes at different stages are not clear. In this study, meta- analysis, bioinformatics analysis and vivo simulation were used to explore the distribution patients models stages. The gut microbiota and its metabolites are bi-directionally associated with various human illnesses, which has received extensive attention. Trimethylamine N-oxide (TMAO) is a metabolite produced in the liver, may serve role of an "axis" connecting host organs. TMAO levels significantly higher blood individuals cardiovascular, renal, neurological, metabolic diseases. Endothelial cells crucial for regulating microcirculation maintaining tissue organ barriers widely recognized as target TMAO. not only induces endothelial dysfunction but also acts on cell types, such cells, epithelial vascular smooth muscle nerve pancreatic triggering multiple death mechanisms, including necrosis programmed death, thereby influencing health. A common consequence of Parkinson’s disease (PD) is constipation. Beyond its deleterious effect on the quality life in affected persons, constipation associated with gut microbiota dysbiosis and microbial-generated inflammatory metabolites, which may further progression. Management strategies are needed, diet, specifically higher fiber dietary patterns or supplements, be recommended. However, therapeutic effectiveness potential health benefits have been underexplored, risks unappreciated. This perspective addresses whether high-fiber diets supplements to support laxation efficacious, safe, generally feasible for people PD. Diverse sources from plant-based particularly critical balancing microbial production beneficial vs. although adherence such challenging. Supplemental needed manage symptoms. safety issues related supplementation, as appetite suppression, unintentional weight loss, risk malnutrition context neurodegeneration, must also considered. Background/Objectives: Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder characterized by the loss of dopaminergic neurons leading to debilitating motor and non-motor symptoms. Beyond its well-known neurological features, emerging evidence underscores pivotal role gut–brain axis gastrointestinal microbiota in PD pathogenesis. Dysbiosis has been strongly linked associated with increased intestinal permeability, chronic inflammation, production neurotoxic metabolites that may exacerbate neuronal damage. Methods: This review delves into complex interplay between dysbiosis, shedding light on two peculiar subsets Helicobacter pylori infection small-intestinal bacterial overgrowth. These conditions not only contribute progression but also influence therapeutic responses such as L-dopa efficacy. Conclusions: The potential modulate gut through probiotics, prebiotics, synbiotics; fecal transplantation; antibiotics represents promising frontier for innovative treatments. Despite this potential, current limited small sample sizes methodological variability across studies. Rigorous, large-scale, randomized placebo-controlled trials standardized treatments terms composition, dosage, duration are urgently needed validate these findings pave way microbiota-based strategies management.

Doğum anı ile birlikte bu mikroorganizmalar, gastrointestinal sistem boyunca, genito-üriner sistemde, solunum yollarında deride kolonize olmaya başlarlar. kolonizasyonu çeşitli faktörler etkilemektedir. Gastrointestinal sistemde 100 trilyondan fazla mikroorganizma 1000’e yakın türde bakteri bulunmaktadır. bakterilerin her birinin farklı görevleri vardır. Mikrobiyotada yer alan yapısının %50’si insanlarda benzer türlerden oluşmuş olsa da mikrobiyotanın içeriği dağılımı kişiye özeldir. Son yıllarda yapılan çalışmalarda, hastalarında belirli tipte görüldüğü saptanmıştır. Dolayısıyla hastalığının oluşumunda gelişiminde bağırsak disbiyozisinin rol oynadığı düşünülmektedir. derleme, konusunda hemşirelerin farkındalığını artırmak amacıyla yazılmıştır.
