Anthocyanin is an important class of water-soluble pigments that are widely distributed in various tissues plants, and it not only facilitates diverse color changes but also plays roles biological processes. Maize silk, serving as reproductive organ displaying a range colors, indispensable role biotic resistance through its possession anthocyanin. However, the copy numbers, characteristics, expression patterns genes involved maize anthocyanin biosynthesis fully understood. Polygonatum kingianum Coll. et (Hemsl) is a famous Chinese traditional food and medicine analogous plant. The rhizome of P. showed decrease in levels alkaloids, amino acids derivatives, terpenoids, an increase organic acid saccharides when it was processed by the method "Nine Cycles Steaming Sun-Drying". relative content 341 metabolites were increased (fold change, FC > 2; variable importance projection, VIP 1 P-value, P < 0.05); while 456 decreased (FC 0.5, 1, 0.05). changes chemical components result numb taste sweetness. antioxidant activity observed samples. Cordyceps represent a valuable class of medicinal fungi with potential utilization. To elucidate the mechanisms underlying photoperiodic responses, we investigated genomic and metabolomic responses of two broomcorn millet (Panicum miliaceum L.) genotypes. For this purpose, light-insensitive (D32) light-sensitive (M51) genotypes were exposed to a 16 h photoperiod (long-day (LD) conditions) an 8 (short-day (SD) conditions), various transcriptomic changes investigated.
