Abstract Early detection of COVID-19 improves the chance recovery and helps identify high-risk patients. Our study aimed to statistically predict time improvement with admission data Methods : prospective cohort occurred between January September 2022 at Alexandria University Hospital’s outpatient clinic isolation department. We enrolled 43 patients after assessing their eligibility collecting baseline data. Results The mean age was 34.8 years (± 12.3). Most them were females (65.1%). oxygen saturation 95.2% 2.8). used linear regression how long it would take improve [time (days) = 1.186*P (mmol/L) + 0.010*IL-10 (pg/mL)]. Its diagnostic performance 0.723 (95% CI: 0.552–0.894), accurate predicting within a week but not longer delays; additionally, its positive negative predictive values 56.3% 85.2%, respectively. Conclusion recommend monitoring phosphorus interleukin-10 levels. time-to-improvement delay negatively correlated reduction in upon admission. Additionally, for every 0.84 meq/L increase or 100 pg/mL interleukin-10, there 1-day provided that other constant, coefficient determination 85.9%.

Abstract Background The active pursuit of network medicine for drug repurposing, particularly combating Covid-19, has stimulated interest in the concept structural controllability cellular networks. We sought to extend this theory, focusing on defense rather than control cell against viral infections. Accordingly, we extended total and introduced hubs. Perturbing any hub may render uncontrollable by exogenous stimuli like infections, so hubs are ideal targets. Results developed an efficient algorithm identify all hubs, applying it a largest homogeneous human protein interactions, including interactions between SARS-CoV-2 proteins. Our method recognized 65 druggable with enriched antiviral functions. Utilizing these categorized potential drugs into four groups: anti-inflammatory agents, acting central nervous system, dietary supplements, compounds enhancing immunity. An exemplification our approach’s effectiveness, Fostamatinib, initially chronic immune thrombocytopenia, is now clinical trials treating Covid-19. Preclinical trial data demonstrated that Fostamatinib could reduce mortality rates, ICU stay length, disease severity Covid-19 patients. Preserved eggs (pidans) are used in traditional Chinese cuisines. However, the alkaline conditions and metal ions generated during its preparation have caused some concerns. This study developed an innovative process for pidan processing using incinerated eggshell powder, abundant by-product that can generate a highly solution provide calcium (Ca2+). Either 0.5, 3, or 5% of powder was basic pickling. Different combinations ZnSO4 (0.175%), MgCl2 (0.08%), CuSO4 (0.16%) were added. Duck pickled 25 days at 25–27 °C, followed by 14 ripening. The processed containing 0.175% demonstrated closest physiochemical sensory characteristics to commercial pidans. Thus, results offer new technique manufacture pidans reduce harmful impact on human health environment.
