Bacterial vaginosis, pelvic inflammatory disease, and endometritis are infections of the genital tract that can lead to many adverse health outcomes, including infertility. vaginosis is characterized by a lower prevalence lactobacilli higher anaerobic bacteria, Gardnerella vaginalis, Megasphaera spp., Atopobium vaginae. Endometritis disease caused ascension pathogenic bacteria uterus, although mechanisms which they do so unclear. chronic endometritis, have been linked infertility in retrospective prospective trials. Similarly, causes bacterial endometritis-related likely multifactorial stem from inflammation, immune targeting sperm antigens, presence toxins, increased risk sexually transmitted infections. Diagnosis treatment before attempting conception may be important components preconceptional care for symptomatic women improve outcomes natural assisted reproduction.

Abstract Background Previous evidence indicates associations between the female reproductive tract microbiome composition and outcome in infertile patients undergoing assisted reproduction. We aimed to determine whether endometrial microbiota is associated with outcomes of live birth, biochemical pregnancy, clinical miscarriage or no pregnancy. Methods Here, we present a multicentre prospective observational study using 16S rRNA gene sequencing analyse fluid biopsy samples before embryo transfer cohort 342 asymptomatic for infection treatments. Results A dysbiotic profile composed Atopobium , Bifidobacterium Chryseobacterium Gardnerella Haemophilus Klebsiella Neisseria Staphylococcus Streptococcus was unsuccessful outcomes. In contrast, Lactobacillus consistently enriched birth Conclusions Our findings indicate that useful biomarker predict outcome, offering an opportunity further improve diagnosis treatment strategies.

Current knowledge suggests that the uterus harbours its own microbiota, where microbes could influence uterine functions in health and disease; however, core microbial composition host-microbial relationships remain to be fully elucidated. Different studies are indicating, based on next-generation sequencing techniques, dysbiosis associated with several gynaecological disorders, such as endometriosis, chronic endometritis, dysfunctional menstrual bleeding, endometrial cancer, infertility. Treatments using antibiotics probiotics and/or prebiotics for being applied. Nevertheless there is no unified protocol assessing optimal treatment established dysbiosis. With this review we outline (mostly bacteria) identified microbiome studies, current treatments offered bacterial clinical setting, future possibilities pro- transplants modifying composition.

Changes in the female genital tract microbiome are consistently correlated to gynecological and obstetrical pathologies, dysbiosis can impact reproductive outcomes during fertility treatment. Nonetheless, a consensus regarding physiological core inside uterine cavity has not been reached due myriad of study limitations, such as sample size experimental design variations, influence endometrial bacterial communities on human reproduction remains debated. Understanding healthy microbiota how changes its composition affect would potentially allow personalized treatment through management assisted therapies, ultimately leading improvement clinical outcomes. Here, we review current knowledge it relates conception.

Endometritis is defined as an infection or inflammation of the endometrium.Endometritis two types: acute and chronic.Acute endometritis symptomatic endometrium, which upon examination with a microscope shows micro-abscess neutrophil invasion in superficial endometrium. One its most common manifestations postpartum endometritis.Chronic silent disease usually diagnosed on workup secondary amenorrhoea infertility. An important cause chronic tuberculosis, especially developing nations.Chronic have been associated poor reproductive outcomes.Worse outcomes reported for individuals endometritis. This scoping review impact fertility.

Abstract Background The female reproductive tract contains an active microbiome comprising mainly bacteria from the Lactobacillus genus, which is associated with a healthy state. However, spatio‐temporal fluctuations of this that occur in response to internal and external factors may impact physiology organs even lead pathological states. Methods Current literature covering summarized contextualized review. Main findings This review presents current knowledge about bacterial composition lower upper as well microbiota on women's health reproduction. We place special focus endometrial infertility assisted technologies. Conclusion assessment adds new microbiological perspective human reproduction, pregnancy, onset life, highlighting importance considering evaluation microbial communities improve personalized care medicine health.

Studies suggest that persisting intrauterine bacterial infectious conditions such as chronic endometritis potentially impair the embryo implantation process. The microbial environment in female reproductive tract, however, remains largely undetermined infertile patients with a history of repeated failure (RIF). Using next-generation sequencing, we aimed to characterize microbiota endometrial fluid (EF) and vaginal secretions (VS) women RIF. Twenty-eight RIF eighteen undergoing first vitro fertilization-embryo transfer attempt (the control group) were enrolled study. On days 6-8 luteal phase natural, oocyte-pickup, or hormone replacement cycle, paired EF VS samples obtained separately.
