The increasing energy demand for and fast depletion of fossil fuels have driven the need to explore renewable clean sources. Hydrogen production via water electrocatalysis is considered a promising green fuel technology addressing global environmental challenges while supporting sustainable development. Molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) has emerged as potential electrocatalyst hydrogen evolution reactions (HERs) super-capacitor (SC) applications due its high electrochemical activity, low cost, abundance. However, compared noble metals like platinum (Pt), MoS2 exhibit lower HER activity in electrocatalysis. Therefore, further modification needed enhance catalytic performance. To address this, been effectively modified with materials such reduced graphene oxide (rGO), carbon nanotubes (CNTs), polymers, metal oxides, MXenes. These modifications significantly improve properties MoS2, enhancing performance SC applications. In this review article, we compiled recent reports on fabrication MoS2-based hybrid challenges, advantages, future perspectives HERs SCs discussed. It believed that readers may benefit from updates
