Medicinal plants are an integral part of the healthcare system in Africa. In traditional medicine, a mixture Ipomoea batatas leaves and Milicia excelsa roots is used to treat cancer, mostly breast colon cancer. It can be on its own or with other common cancer treatments. While popular belief assumes that medicinal plants, being natural, healthier than conventional medicines, scientific studies have shown induce serious adverse effects influence patient's prognosis. order regulate use, literature review information available composition, toxicity anti-cancer properties decoction was carried out December 2024. To date, there no publications anticancer activity extracts roots. However, excelsa, taken separately, very rich secondary metabolites which been effective against several types terms toxicity, best tolerated at doses 10 100 mg/kg. The not subject repeated-dose studies. This revealed lack data, particularly safety, prevented formulation recommendations concerning use. find more about safety effectiveness using research needs done. Abstract This study evaluates the pharmacological effects of iridoid glucoside loganic acid, a plant constituent with diverse properties, based on literature, and explores underlying cellular mechanisms for treating several ailments. Data were collected from reliable electronic databases, including PubMed, Scopus, Web Science, Google Scholar, etc. The results demonstrated anti‐inflammatory, anti‐oxidant, other protective acid metabolic diseases disorders such as atherosclerosis, diabetes, obesity, in addition to its osteoprotective anticancer properties. antioxidant activity demonstrates capacity protect cells oxidative damage mitigates inflammation by reducing inflammatory cytokines involving TNF‐α IL‐6, substantially upregulating expression PPAR‐γ/α, decreasing clinical signs inflammation‐related conditions related hypertriglyceridemia atherosclerosis. Meanwhile, inhibits bone loss, exhibits properties increasing mRNA levels synthesizing genes Alpl, Bglap, Sp7, significantly increases osteoblastic proliferation preosteoblast cells. Loganic is an anti‐metastatic drug that reduces MnSOD expression, EMT metastasis, prevents migration, proliferation, invasion hepatocellular carcinoma However, additional trials are required assess safety, efficacy, human dose.

This review paper has highlighted a list of plants containing active phytochemicals with anticancer potential, as well data supporting their use in cancer therapy, animal models, and pharmacological properties. Cancer is among the leading causes morbidity mortality worldwide. disease characterized by abnormal cell division proliferation that result from disruption molecular signals control these processes. abnormal, uncontrolled cells body. The when malignant, invade various parts body through bloodstream. spread its or tissue origin to another healthy part tissues organs called metastasis. Some regular characteristics cancers are apoptosis, angiogenesis, multiple replication, growth signal production, insensitivity anti-growth These features make have continuous growth, long time survival potential normal cells. Moreover, if activities not blocked, will continue increase, overwhelm finally kill patient cancer. Oncology study An oncologist doctor who treats provides medical care for person diagnosed may also be specialist. Today, despite considerable efforts, still remains an aggressive killer success rate therapies diminished toxicities, drug resistance, recurrence treatment failure. A significant challenge associated much art it science. Therefore, there constant demand develop new, effective, affordable drugs. Several factors, such environmental habitual activities, genetic etc., responsible Many patients seek alternative and/or complementary treatments because high death linked adverse side effects chemotherapy, radiation immunotherapy, surgery, stem therapy. Medicinal could possess effective compounds used adjuvants existing chemotherapy improve efficacy reduce drug-induced toxicity; chemotherapy-induced nausea vomiting patients’ quality life. Cell caused whole plant extracts via apoptosis. However, majority been researched prevention rather than treatment, resulting low uptake practice. Prevention certainly attractive management strategy. Thus might possible process carcinogenesis along lifestyle.

Abstract Polysaccharides from non‐conventional sources, such as fruits, have gained significant attention recently. Aegle marmelos (Bael), a fruit, is an excellent source of biologically active components with potential indigenous therapeutic and food applications. Apart polyphenolic components, this mucilaginous polysaccharides. are one the major bael having high amount galactose glucuronic acid, which contributes to its properties. Therefore, review emphasizes conventional emerging techniques polysaccharide extraction fruit. Insight into attributes their techno‐functional properties, characterization fruit polysaccharide, emulsifying binding reduction hazardous dyes, application polysaccharides in film formation, nanocomposite, biological activities discussed. This also systematically overviews relationship between techniques, structural characteristics, activities. Additionally, recommendations, future perspectives, new valuable insight towards better utilization been given importance, can be promoted long term.

A novel halotolerant actinobacterium, designated as RG38 T , capable of producing black extracellular melanin pigment on SP2 agar, was isolated from the roots Tagetes patula . Comparative analysis 16S rRNA gene sequence revealed highest similarity to Streptomyces collinus NBRC 12759 (99.3%). Phylogenetic showed that strain clustered within genus forming a monophyletic cluster with its close relatives. The average nucleotide identity (ANI), digital DNA–DNA hybridization (dDDH), and amino-acid (AAI) values between related species were below standard threshold for prokaryotic delineation. DNA G + C content determined be 73.3%. genome size measured 7,150,598 bp comprising 17 contigs encompassed 6,053 protein coding genes. AntiSMASH whole 35 putative biosynthetic clusters (BGCs) responsible various secondary metabolites. Among these clusters, two exhibited 100% chromomycin A3, albaflavenone, anthracimycin, respectively. These compounds reported possess significant anticancer antibacterial activities. LC–MS-based analysis, coupled further isolation studies, confirmed production chromomycins A2 (1), A3 (2), their derivatives, along antibiotic findings underscore potential this resource discovery diverse antimicrobial compounds. This study is first report an compound medicinal plant T.
