The present study aimed to perform phytochemical investigation of various fractions the aerial parts Senecio laetus Edgew for its bio-constitution and pharmacologically evaluate these antioxidant antiproliferative activities against breast cancer (MCF-7) colon carcinoma (HCT-116) cell lines. Phytochemical screening characterization compounds was carried out as per standard procedures. Extracts were subjected GC-MS analysis identification constituents. activity using DPPH, ferric ion reducing power assay, nitric oxide radical inhibition assays. In vitro extracts MCF-7 (breast cancer) HCT-116 (colon carcinoma) lines by MTT colony formation wound healing assay. showed presence alkaloids, flavonoids, carbohydrates, glycosides (cardiac anthraquinone), tannins, triterpenoids, phenolic compounds, phytosterols. 54 compounds. Ethyl acetate methanolic extract exhibited maximum amount content compared dichloromethane hexane fractions. Antioxidant capacities shown highest in ethyl found be concentration dependent, with fraction more effective than both results indicate that S. has a promising potential

Berries from the Vaccinium genus, known for their rich array of bioactive metabolites, are recognized antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anticancer properties. These compounds, including anthocyanins, flavonoids, phenolic acids, have attracted significant attention potential health benefits, particularly in cancer prevention treatment. Gastric (GC), a leading cause cancer-related deaths worldwide, remains challenging to treat, especially its advanced stages. This study investigates therapeutic species GC treatment using computational methods. RNA sequencing revealed upregulated genes associated with GC, while network pharmacology molecular docking approaches identified strong interactions between cyanidin 3-O-glucoside (C3G), key metabolite. Furthermore, dynamics simulations HSP90AA1-C3G complex demonstrated stable binding structural integrity, suggesting that C3G may inhibit HSP90AA1, protein involved progression. findings highlight offering novel approach by targeting pathways. research provides valuable insights into role berries as natural therapeutics, supporting integration future gastric strategies.

Despite progress in traditional treatment methods, the overall survival rate for oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) remains limited. Consequently, it is essential to investigate alternative therapeutic strategies enhance patient outcomes. This review highlights potential role of plant extracts as chemo preventive agents cancer treatment. A systematic was conducted following PRISMA guidelines, involving an extensive literature search from databases such PubMed, Scopus, Embase, Web science, Cochrane and CINAHL which included studies 2010 2024 that explored anticancer medicinal plants OSCC Data extraction focused on species, parts used, extract type, active components, dosage, lines or animal models used. Risk bias assessed using OHAT tool ROBINS-I vitro studies. total 12 were included, examining Allium sativum (garlic), Crocus sativus (saffron), Curcuma longa (turmeric), Scutellariabaicalensis (Baikal skullcap), etc., These demonstrated bioactive components like allicin, curcumin, baicalin significantly inhibited proliferation induced apoptosis. However, there substantial variability dose concentrations required, ranging 1 µg/mL garlic 50 mg/mL saffron nanoparticles. The risk assessment indicated four had a moderate risk, while one low bias, indicating methodological rigor. Plant Vitis vinifera present promising, less toxic treatment, with be integrated into conventional chemotherapeutic regimens. While in-vitro are encouraging, further clinical trials among humans necessary confirm their efficacy safety settings.

Medicinal plants are well-known for synthesizing a wide range of bioactive compounds used mainly in the pharmaceutical, food and cosmetic industries. The therapeutic use Passiflora species Europe began 17th century, but few studies have been carried out on caerulea L. This is versatile plant, an herbaceous climber, belonging to Passifloraceae family. In past, P. has as sedative agent, recent years, scientific focused exploring its functionality pharmacological use. Phytochemical analysis revealed several classes phytochemical components, some which promising biological potential. Recent confirmed potential by demonstrating vivo anxiolytic antistress effects well antimicrobial, antioxidant, anticonvulsant, analgesic gastroprotective activities. While these findings encouraging, there limited research conducted profiling, biosafety molecular mechanisms activity extracts from review aims summarize analyze data activities caerulea, including action individual applications.
