The most important aspect of sorbent-based approaches is the use a sustainable, readily available, and cost-effective sorbent material for sample analysis. Biochar an emerging prominent various applications in techniques due to its availability, affordability, eco-friendly nature, porosity, pore structure, abundance aliphatic aromatic carbon structures, abundant oxygen-containing functional groups. On basis numerous benefits biochar, this review discusses why biochar preferred sorptive-based techniques. In addition, provides brief evaluation biochar-based sorptive approaches, including solid-phase extraction (SPE)/microextraction (SPME), magnetic SPE/SPME, in-tube SPME, pipette-tip micro SPE, thin-film microextraction. Furthermore, each section briefly overviews studies analyses applications, pharmaceuticals, environmental, food. Most importantly, on literature review, that require further investigation applications.

The present investigation aimed to enhance the identification of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in water and beverages by employing large-volume injection (LVI) conjunction with membrane-assisted solvent extraction for gas chromatography-mass spectrometry analyses. High-purity solvents isotope-labeled standards were used calibrate create hydrocarbon (PAH) standards. Water samples from polluted rivers India commercially available collected preserved under controlled conditions. Microwave-assisted (MASE) was optimized adjusting temperature pH efficient extraction. extracts analyzed using (GC-MS) a system sensitive PAH detection. MASE-LVI-GC-MS efficiently determined 16 PAHs aqueous optimizing parameters like shaking speed, temperature, composition. Recovery percentages above 65 %, relative standard deviation 6 % guaranteed repeatability 18 during five consecutive extractions. It shown that great sensitivity achieved reaching detection limits within range nanograms per litre. In conclusion, combined GC-MS detects various beverage samples, achieving nanogram-per-liter sensitivity. offers uniform extraction, rapid analysis, reduced use across diverse matrices.
