A critical causative factor of oxidative stress and inflammation leading to several skin complications is ultraviolet-B (UVB) irradiation. Lignosus rhinocerus (LR), or tiger milk mushroom, native Southeast Asia. Cold water extract an LR cultivar, TM02® (xLr®) a promising anti-oxidant anti-inflammatory source. However, the effects xLr® on UVB-induced photoaging have never been elucidated. This study investigated protective its high, medium, low molecular weight (HLR, MLR, LLR, respectively) fractions against UVB irradiation using in vivo Caenorhabditis elegans (C. elegans) model. The investigation revealed significant lifespan extension UVB-irradiated C. elegans, which could be mediated by regulation genes associated with (daf-16 sod-3) apoptosis (cep-1, hus-1, ced-13, egl-1) pathways. significantly reduced ROS production increased DAF-16 nuclear translocation compared untreated worms. Additionally, SOD-3 expression was xLr®-treated Hence, it suggests that different components work synergistically protect Our findings may beneficial for application as treatment cellular damage photoaging.
