Crohn's disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UC), referred to as inflammatory bowel (IBD), pose considerable challenges in treatment because they are chronic conditions that easily relapse. The occurrence of IBD continues rise developing countries. Nonetheless, the existing therapies for have limitations fail address needs patients thoroughly. There is an increasing need new, safe, highly effective alternative medications patients. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) employed drug development management due its wide-range biological activities, minimal toxicity, limited side effects. Extensive research has shown certain TCM exhibits significant therapeutic benefits treatments. Honeysuckle (Lonicera japonica) was used clinical settings IBD. Bioactive metabolites L. japonica, such luteolin, quercetin, cyanidin, chlorogenic acid (CGA), caffeic (CA), saponin, exhibit managing honeysuckle flower a potential candidate anti-inflammatory, immune system-regulating, antioxidant qualities. The GH43 family of glycosidases represents an important class industrial enzymes that are widely utilized across the food, pharmaceutical, and various other sectors. In this study, we identified a glycoside hydrolytic enzyme, Xyaf313, derived from plant endophytic fungus Chaetomium globosum DX-THS3, which is capable transforming several common ginsenosides. enzyme function analysis reveals Xyaf313 exhibits dual functionality, displaying both α-L-arabinofuranosidase β-D-xylosidase activity. When acting as α-L-arabinofuranosidase, achieves optimal activity 23.96 U/mg at temperature 50 °C pH 7. contrast, its results in slight reduction to 23.24 U/mg, with similar conditions those observed for Furthermore, demonstrates considerable resistance most metal ions chemical reagents. Notably, while maximum occurs °C, it maintains high room (30 °C), relative exceeding 90%. Measurements ginsenoside transformation show can convert ginsenosides Rc, Rb1, Rb2, Rb3 into Rd, underscoring potential pharmaceutical applications. Overall, our findings contribute identification new bifunctional hydrolases, highlight significance fungi promising resource screening carbohydrate-decomposing enzymes, present candidate biotransformation
